  1. I'd hardly class reply to a post to clear things up as getting "fired up" about something.
  2. I'm more reading it as Hardcore in general, especially with the reference to the Bleeding Through gig. Meh, I'm cranky anyway, and in need of coffee.
  3. A list of influences is really needed here. Just trying to help mind.
  4. On a side note, anyone have any idea where I can get Cult Of Luna guitar tabs? I've been searching for them for ages, but I only seem to be able to get is bass tabs.
  5. Guess this reply is quite late, but my point was really that it's about time people pulled the finger out and started trying to form bands, because I'm sure there's many a person in Aberdeen who would like to start up a band, but for whatever reason doesn't. Hhhmmm, I should have really thought that one through before posting it.
  6. Shit, forgot to review this one. Filthpact - I've seen them play so many times, and I still can't get enough. I can't think of much else to say, just a brilliant set. Project: Ven-Hell - First time seeing this lot, got to say I was impressed. I'm hoping a recording is going to be in the works soon, because I'd deffinately be rushing to buy it. Macrocosmica - Again, my first time seeing them. Didn't really know what to expect of them, but after a couple of seconds I was pretty sure on the fact they were brilliant. Got to see them in a gig some time soon. Narcosis - ...? NARCOSIS!!! Fucking loved every second of their set. I didn't really appreciate them much when I saw them supporting PxDx in Glasgow because I was just gobsmacked by what they were playing. This time round however, well, yeah... Fucking great. Loved it. Have to say this was one of the best gigs I've been to. What a good way to see off Drakes.
  7. Allergo - Got to say, each time I see this band I come away having enjoyed them more than the last time. The new songs were pretty damn cool too. MMw - Can't comment, didn't watch the set. I've heard them play a couple of times now, and it just isn't my sort of thing at all. Cult Of Luna - The band I was there to see really. Got to say, I wasn't disappointed. All the songs sounded better live. The only thing I didn't like about this set was the length. It would have been nice to see them play a far longer set, as they have the songs to do it, but then that's down to personal taste I guess. Bleeding Through - Guh, what can I say. Having never really heard them before yesterday I wasn't sure what to expect. Got into the first few songs, but after a while, they just seemed to be a very standard Metalcore band. Actually left early because of them, which is a thing I have never done. I came away from the gig feeling slightly disappointed, not really because of the music played, but more because of Aberdeen's representation in such gigs.. I think it's about time another band came out the woodwork for these types of gigs, because MMw seem to have found themselves as the houseband of Moshulu for gigs of this catagory. It would be nice to see a variation in the local support now and then. Just a thought though.
  8. Shit, I haven't seen Rockos Modern Life in years, but that's exactly what I thought when Spongebob first appeared. I never could understand what people saw in it. Ah well.
  9. 10 out of 10, simply because Scorpion is the shit. I really hope that's Scorpion now
  10. Must say, that was exactly what I was thinking while reading.
  11. Hhhmmm... The death of Marvin in Pulp Fiction. It's an obvious one, but I laughed for so long after seeing it. Just on of tose you have to watch again and again. Dogma has a few good ones. The board room scene was good just for the screams of "Pigs! All of you, Pigs!". The death of Officer McGee is pretty funny simply because of how quick and how unexpected it is. And I guess the death of Bartleby is rather funny because of the Metatron's complaining of constantly getting things on his suit. Many of the deaths in Puppet Master were pretty funny. Asides those, I can only think of character injuries. Only really good one I can think of is in the spoof Mafia - the cattle-prod scene, which is a comical take on the card-counting scene in Casino. Hum.
  12. Ah nuts, just when I have no cash. And further nuts, just after I had a multiple post arguement with the seller, resulting in a thread closure. The god's do not smile upon me.
  13. I'm looking at the good old "Sleep-Eat-Sleep" Setup. It hasn't failed me in the past.
  14. "The Dolphin's in the jacuzzi, I want to get a credit card, And, I'm gonna buy a stereo at Cambridge SoundWorks. I was looking at my ass this morning, You call yourself a man of the cloth!? Shut the fuck up, Shut the fuck up, Shut the fuck up, Mike! Shut the fuck up, Shut the fuck up, Shut the fuck up, Mike!! Mike Mahan, Shut the fuck up!" Gotta love Anal Cunt.

    Guitarist available.

Doom and Death. Sounds a cool mix to me. Know of anyone else who would be interested in that sort of thing?
