my bc rich doesn't have a tremelo - thank fuck, but my jackson an washburn do. Both are ok, but the washburn stays in tune better...it's also needed for all those dimebag harmonic dive's a la "mouth for war".

Forget about looks - tremelo bridges are a pain in the ass as far as altered tunings go, and I should know as two of my guitars have them. However I have got the Jackson blocked so that I am now fixed bridge all the way, on mr superstrat

I don't think so! Jackson was formerly Jackson Charvel and made all those pointy 80's cheese hair metal guitars... Although those style guitars are modelled on the strat, but as they are more 'flash' they are known as "super strats"

Well its not actually the gothic one - I just sprayed the scratchplate black, so it looks cooler than both the gothic one and the normal one, because it is ALL black but shiny as well. The jackson is cool - just got an EMG 81 in the bridge and an EMG 85 in the neck....sweet.

But then again, my other guitars are these...there's kind of a black, pointy, metal theme running through I think....

I have one 'signature' guitar, but it is not actually a signature guitar in that vein... it is a Washburn Dime 2ST, a Dimebag Darrell (Pantera) signature guitar. It doesn't have all that autograph crap on it though, and at just under 400 it is a cool as fuck guitar.

'Scenes from a memory' by DT is definitely my favourite. Iced Earth have done a good few. Cradle of Filth, although not exactly my favourite band, have done some pretty clever concept stuff before. Oh...and The Oddyssey by Symphony X.... Hell Yeah!

got my valves through the post yesterday. Took the back off myself, changed JUST the pre-amp valves and it worked fine! So thanks to all those who gave advice. I didn't fancy fixing the power/output valves - with all that biasing etc - so it was lucky it was just a pre-amp problem! I also didn't kill myself.

I noticed that today...the first time I've ever actually NEEDED to use the site - it goes down like debbie in 'debbie does dallas'... D'oh!

Actually I wasn't...I was at work and particularly bored so I thought I would make up the rubbishest story I could, but it just happened to be an excellent story of literate genius. my set up is fine through other amps, and other guitars make the amp crackle as well. I'm positive its the amp. Basically, when you plug something in it makes a really annoying crackling noise that gets louder in direct proportion to turning up the master volume.

If you don't believe me just ask Dave cos he was there too.

Last weekend, I was in Dr Drakes enjoying my pint of John Smiths but extremely bored at the rubbish band that was on (I think it was "We Became Lost" or something) and Brian was working behind the bar. Anyway, I shouted over to my buddy Brian; "Hey Bri! What would you recommend along the lines of peanuts?" "Dry roasted KP's", he replied. So I tried the dry roasted KP peanuts and they were rubbish, so I said; "These are rubbish do you have any good peanuts?" to which he said; "No I don't, just enjoy watching this rubbish band and I'll ask Nicky Ca$ino to get some from another shop" I waited for a whole 15 minutes, (that's ages, nearly 20 minutes) and Mr Ca$ino STILL hadn't come back with some decent peanuts, and I started thinking to myself; "This Ca$ino guy is pretty rubbish too, he's just a big silly rubbish suit-wearing man who is rubbish" Eventually he came back with some peanuts, although they weren't just any peanuts, but in fact 'super peanuts' from another planet. They were just as Rubbish as the other rubbish peanuts, so I went to kef instead. Kef was rubbish though so I went back to Dr Drakes. Thankfully We Became Lost had finished, which was good because they were rubbish, but luckily Brian was still there because he is my friend and he isn't rubbish.
