I agree with Craig, trem arms are a pain. Two of my guitars have floyd rose's (the dimebag sig. Washburn and the Jackson) and they are more hassle than they are worth (unless you ALWAYS play in standard E tuning) In fact my Jackson is currently getting set-up so that the floyd rose bridge is blacked up so it acts as a fixed bridge. However it is fun every once in a wihle to whammy away, I find the best/easiest/most impressive sounding 'trick' is to hit natural harmonics on the 5th fret on both the high B and E strings, and then Dive bomb (similar to the solo at the end of "And Justice For All" and "Blackened" (although the blackened one actually goes up in pitch - not down)

Its a jackson DX10D, all black, with sharkfin fret inlays. Soon to be fitted with an EMG 81 in the bridge and an 85 in the neck. Also being set-up with Ernie Ball Hybrid Slinky's and I'm having the floyd rose bridge blocked so it will act like a fixed bridge. (Changing tunings is a nightmare with floyd Rose bridges!)

I have been considering getting one for a while now, might go and try one out sometime soon. If you have the cash then go for it hog!

The fudge awards are out for nomination (I'm sure you can get slips at gigs at drakes) and it would be cool if Black Atom won some awards! We have been nominated in the categories 'best heavy metal act' 'best live act' 'best release of the year' and you can also vote us as the best band! yeah its the JB. I cant hear the sound bites cos there is no sound on my work comp. I've checked th SD site but wasn't sure whether to go for a normal pick up or a metal one along the lines of the srhed model or even the dimebucker!

Its about a 300 guitar with 'duncan designed' pick-ups (ie the not-so-good-sort of seymour duncan ones) However I was going to get a SH-4 in the bridge and a SH-2 Jazz in the neck position. Is this a good idea? Bear in mind I like to play rock/metal/shred... Any advice is appreciated. Cheers.
