bus drivers do tend to be dicks who don't understand the principle of 'the customer is always right'. i've never met a friendly, pleasant or polite bus driver and they all treat their job like they're doing you a favor. i don't know any other industry where employees could get away treating customers like bus drivers do. i flagged down a stagecoach bus last sunday because there were no first buses running, and when i handed over a fiver in order to get change, the bus driver looked at me and asked me if that was what my fare was supposed to look like and then told me he 'shouldn't have stopped this fucking bus for you' even though he had a full drawer of change in front of me. if you were to talk to someone like that whilst working in a shop or a restaurant, you'd be sacked immediately. so no, i don't think they deserve a pay increase. although i do think a lot of the problems with First is that there is no direct competition to encourage them to operate more efficiantly as a company.

damn right! we watched it last night! i was befazzled (if that's even a word) by his amazing balancing ability and fantastic tasche. can he teach binky that, do ya reckon? that'd make him a definate hit with the ladies.

what a fucking awesome night! i had a great night despite being on the merch stand all night. the quireboys were lovely as well, although the guitarist (guy-the one in the suit) was pure nigel tuffnell from spinal tap. had the accent and everything!

the fudge awards tix last year only cost 1.50 which is what I think you should stick to for price.

i said moorings because the tunnels is simply too expensive and that's what edjed it out for me. 1 for cordial in the tunnels seems unreasonable, especially as it was my last pound. a bottle of cordial doesn't even cost a pound in a supermarket.

i like the bassment and the moorings because the staff is both places are always friendly, the drinking is good and reasonably priced and there's always someone you know lurking about if the person you're meeting is late.

they're not actually a novelty act. they're a genuine ukranian band who have done the soundtrack for the new film Everything Is Illuminated. Their singer also stars in the film as Elijah Wood's Ukranian tour guide.

i thought the second half of the film was ace, but the first half was really difficult to get into, possibly because they were skipping over so much stuff. i also thought they should have had more at the quiddich world cup, given how much they must have spent setting up those scenes. missing out ludo bagman, and dobby coming out of the woods with harry's wand and all the suspicion seemed to wreck the first half of the film. think if they were gonna cut anything out it should have been rita skeeter.

still think the tunnels is way too small for the fudge awards. think the awards should be on a friday, so that chris and binky don't have to miss out for the sake of air guitar.

only condition is you have to come pick it up. it's only a couple years old, light wood finish, big enough to comfortably seat 4, could seat up to 6 at a push i reckon. it's just one of those flat pack jobs, but i'm getting rid of it, so though i'd try here before i chucked it out.

they're definately playing the aberdeen gig. i'm in contact with rich, their guitarist who said they're definately doing it. we chatted about it at the dogs d'amour gig last month and i've texted him a couple times to reconfirm. it's gonna rock.

i liked martin's maths joke. the fanzine is a great read. one of the best i feel. loadsa laughs.
