Marshall JCM2000 DSL100 100w head Marshall 1960A 300W Cab Looking to part with my amp as I just don't use this anymore and need the cash. Reluctant sale but needs must. I don't really know the going value for these, but I was 1200 for this from R&B in 2002. I would be very happy with 700 for both, but am probably open to offers. I will post pics later but it is in generally very good condition, one little tear on the front of the cab which was glued back, but apart from that, built like a shithouse, sounds amazing, loud enough to shatter your house to pieces (tried and tested). Note I currently have two output valves pulled from (to drop it to 50w) so you would need new valves if you want to get the full 100w. Looking for a quick sale....anyone interested? Wasn't too exciting sat in the balcony. Last band I saw was Wire at The Arches last year. I now don't care if I don't see another band again....

I would love that bassman head, but I don't really play guitar anymore so it would just be an ornament (but a fucking great ornament!) The Bassman is originally a bass amp (in its original 1950's tweed combo variety), but guitarists really fell for the sound...so much so that the classic Marshall amp (1987) was basically just a clone of the bassman (with one or two tweaks). Great sounding amp though.....had the delight of cranking one at a gig many years ago and the sound was just massive

Spot the deliberate mistake in that photo with 3 mics on the cab....theres no chance in hell they ruined the awesome tone they got off the Royer by blending it with the 421 or (spit) 57!!

Amplitube is a simulator, whereas a plugin like Revalver uses impulse responses of cabs. Peavey have now bought up this product. I like the sound of this better than my POD because it can really get a gritty sound, the sound of the mic just slightly off phase with the cab, its also good at simulating output distortion...something that people who use amp soaks will never understand... Import it into Flash. Or redesign it using CSS. Slicing up huge images and using html tables and blank spacer gifs to get everything looking right is just bad web design and generally not practiced anymore...

Can't hear it, but the suggestions so far sound good. In a DAW, I would try the demo of this plug in G-Sonique: XBass4000 It's a psychoacoustic bass enhancer (like the Aphex big bottom or Waves RBass) Its a super cheap plug in (15 Euros) but I think it sounds great

Heres a good one I had going on will hill...5 to 50 eventually (took a while) few numbers that can hurt you but the idea is that most bets are at least earning you about 10p if not more. Couple lose you 20p but you can take it. Some numbers won't win at all, but if you get 3 losers in a row, get the hell out of dodge...best bet is to quickly hit rebet and spin, if you leave it a while you can almost predict the number just by looking for an uncovered bet.
