Frosty Jack
It's not that hard, particularly if it's just backing vocals. Just make sure you're not tensed up, as that will affect your voice. If you're confident and relaxed about what you're playing on the drums, the singing bit is easy. Leckie Gilman
personally i think it looks fucking dumb when the drummers do the main vocals. backing vocals fair enough, but to do the lead? well that's just silly.

Guest iamkelly
the drummer from From Autumn To Ashes sings quite well (kind of a sickly sweet voice), and never comes out from behind the kit. check out the song Choloroform Perfume. Paulscoconutass
The Onion Terror drummer can do the lead singing, we practically take a song each or split songs down the middle depending on how high the parts are.But the best singing drummer i've ever seen was in a band called 'No Extit', they were like emo punk and they kicked soo much ass, the drummer was playing off beat, and other supid time signatures whilst singing in 4/4 - it was truley amazing! Chongo
The Eagles drummer was lead singer...he doesnt do a shabby job at all, check out Hotel California and the likes. Having said which though, it is hard when ya first try it, as instead of only doing four things, you must now do 5. (the four being, foot drum,Hi-Hat, left stick , right stick.) who said men can't multi-task
Spoonie
len atom does backing and plays drums and he's got a fantastic voice as well as being an excellent drummer. it can work if you want it to. also, there's no reason why a drummer shouldn't sing lead vox if they want to. it makes it more difficult to hold the audience, because you're generally at the back behind the kit, but that's just another challengespoonie X
