Hugh_Jazz
I see Liverpool have declared their unwavering support for Stevie G, after he 'allegedly' glassed a club DJ at the weekend.Does anyone think that Liverpool are doing the right thing? I suppose until anything has been proven, LFC are probably in the right......but will they chuck him out if found guilty? If found guilty, he should surely be sacked. Somehow doubt this will happen though.
Spoonie
charged now. they won't touch him and that's because he's a fucking magic player, so it's ok.
Chris
Until there's a verdict in any trial of course they should offer their unconditional support. If he gets found guilty though I imagine he'll at least be stripped of the captaincy. Don't really see Liverpool sacking their best player though, no matter what happens. Guest idol_wild
If I were found to be glassing a DJ somewhere in town, and trust me, I've been tempted before, and I was found guilty, I don't think I'd lose my job.So I don't think Gerrard should. He should just get battered. kingofdeon
I dont think they will get rid of him or lose captancy. This is their best chance of the league in years and wouldnt wanna jepordize it in any manner - either of these things would upset the camp. Still a bit stunned by it all - didnt think Gerrard would have it in him or to be so stupid to do something which he surely knew would be so high profile. Soda Jerk
Personal life debauchery and crime seems to spill over into the career of a footballer much more than the average Joe, or so it seems.Eric Contona got banned for a hefty period when he kicked that fan. He'd already been sent off before this and technically wasn't during football playing time. Shouldn't have been banned. Should have been issued a reversed red card and allowed back on the field for a kick about.

Taylor_dB
I've not talked to anyone about this, and I know a few other Liverpool fans. If we don't talk about it we can pretend that it didn't happen and pretend that it won't bugger our chances of getting #18 in the trophy cabinet. Why does our season always go to shit around this time? Last season it was the whole owners fiasco and now this. And there's no logic in saking a player who is the driving force of an otherwise mediocre team and could easily be sold (if we ever wanted rid of him) for about 30m. Guest idol_wild
you kidding?I would probably be asked to leaveWell one of our engineers did something similar a few months back and only got served with a severe reprimanding.Yes, it could be argued that footballers are in a bigger position of public responsibility as they are placed on a pedestal and provide younger generations with role-models, but most men have been boozed off their tits and done something stupid...Wait...I can't believe I am defending an act of thuggery! It's probably because I think he's a magnificent player. Murrr
I'd love for this fucker to go down for this and suffer a Joey Barton-esque public hanging...But that's never going to happen, because it's Steven Gerrard.

Kieran_imray
Just saw footage of him driving to Liverpool's training ground on Sky Sports News, looked like he was on his mobile. Wonder if they will nick him for that aswell....
Soda Jerk
I hope he gets his contract ended for that. His mobile phone contract, not his football contract. Either that, or someone signs him up to Jamster club and the cunts keep taking 6 a week off him.
pogofish
Until there's a verdict in any trial of course they should offer their unconditional support. The guy drinks Budweiser & is a self-confessed Phil Collins & Coldplay fan. Surely that is reason enough to throw away the key? Presumably no jacket was required in the night club then? (coat got!) Guest Hobo
Dito. You'd also struggle to find somethign new with "assault" on the ol' CV.Saying that, there was a guy at my old work who was up for manslaughter. He was found guilty so he was fine. Next time round though (another manslaughter case) I think he was found guilty... and evidently was never seen in the office again. Someone also got arrested on site for looking a kiddie porn.God, the oil industry is great, isn't it?assault could be good for mercenaries to have on their cv.....So the guy at your old work was found guilty of manslaughter yet he got allowed back out to do the same again? Where did you work, sounds awesome:love:
Guest Hobo
Nah, he was taken to court the first time and was cleared (so wasn't sacked). He was found guilty second time - and went to jail - so he was sacked then Ah damn, there goes all my hopes about double jeapordy
