TR!ΔNGL€ T€€TH
I wish they'd stop dicking about. I've gone from about 80 channels to 6. I had to watch Ugly Betty on analogue last night... I forgot how bad terrestrial TV is.They show Ugly Betty on digital TV as well.Arf! Scootray
My reception is alright, not lost any channels (touch wood), but reception is a bit touch and go at times. More so in the evening.
-matthEw-
ooh err, recently got Freeview in my flat without reading this thread or realising that there were troubles going on. fortunately i manage to get a fair chunk of channels (all the ones i wanted) and this is on an old box-top aerial that must be at least 20 years old. the reception has been cutting out, and the screen goes slightly dim and green-like every now and again, but still entirely watchable. i still hope they fix it soon though! They aren't things that poor freeview reception can do.
-matthEw-
for half a second every now and again? :S could easily just be the tv in general (really old) but it never used to happen on analogue tv. i'll keep an eye out for it if im watching a dvd or playing computer or fitever. It's usually a tube problem though.

Alan Cynic
In my area of Holburn Street the freeview is fine...I get all the channels no problem. But in my g/f's area....farther out of town...the reception has been poor recently, and we've been re-scanning a lot.

Bigsby
This is all going to bring my DVD bill up considerably. Just get broadband.
Bigsby
I have broadband. I'm meaning without illegal means. I already use iplayer and all that. Illegal, schmelegal, stuff on Freeview is fair game as far as I'm concerned, especially if the powers that be can't even supply a decent signal.I'm a member of a very good torrent site that only deals with British telly, happy to send you an invite if you lose your scruples. Johnny Mac
Just buy a sky free to air package.Only about a 50 1 off fee for installation. Then you can add more channels at the drop of a hat if you want to.
Bigsby
I may take you up on that offer. Watching channel 4 through a wall of fuzz is beginning to do my head in PM me with your email address and I'll send you an invite.
Johnny Mac
That's maybe worth a look. I'll see if there's a Sky dish on the roof and see if I can get permission of the landlord. You normally get 6 months free of 2 of the sky mixes too.I just cancelled them after that.Think i'll get them back though, along with my internet through Sky, as Tiscali sucks. Jeanette
Home - FREESAT from Skyfreesat - HomeShould give you all the info you need.
Jeanette
I shouldn't see why not. It's probably just the same as moving your telephone line or broadband. I think I read somewhere that there's a one off payment for reinstalling a dish or such like. But I guess it's worth it in the long run!
