one of the best/simplest ever pasta recipes:

Fry garlic with chopped onion with 2 anchovies (softly don't let the garlic burn). They'll totally dissolve but the taste is brilliant. When the onions are soft add chopped tomatoes, let simmer for a bit. Add pepper and halved olives.

Pour it over your pasta and there you go.

To be honest I like the taste a wee bit stronger so I use 4, sometimes 5 anchovies.
