I was a bit peeved at having to miss this, they were really good last time, but what with Wolf Eyes the night before and 65days next week I can't get to everything. Having said that, I think with hindsight this would have been a better choice than Wolf Eyes....

Wolf Eyes ruled! I thought you would have liked it! Sad times.

I have never in my life had a goaty beard!

Strangely I have never seen David Morse with a beard in any film, but when trying to find a pic he seemed to have a beard in all of them....

I enjoyed some of it, i.e. when they played something other than plain old white noise for 10 minutes at a time. And a drunk hairy bloke being enthusiastic and punching the air does not a good show make. For me anyway. And I can't help but think if 3 guys from Aberdeen did that no-one would give a shit, but because it's Wolf Eyes....I'm sure glad I never went with my original plan to drive and not drink, the copious alcohol certainly helped make it an enjoyable night.

The first act made me think of the episode of Spaced with Vulva's show. Mickelmass started off OK but the use of household implements making horrible high pitched noises started doing my head in and I had to roam about. It was always destined to be a strange night, I was intercepted by a zombie on my approach to The Tunnels.

I'm probably just too old to 'get it'. :gringo: I'll just sit and listen to Earth's 'Earth 2' album, which although just a series of guitar drones, at least changes structure....

Yes, it has made me change my mind, now I am wrong about having enjoyed the show.

To be fair, Wolf Eyes' tracks are structured (obviously not the improv parts they did), I think the same people who were into their set would have enjoyed it regardless of location/origin.

The new Earth album is good.
