Hardcore Mel
My friend from Wisconsin sent me the following.I thought my good state would be the first to prove that idealogy cannot oppress individuals, but alas. I was wrong. At least we elected some good officials.I hope you all voted. If you didn't, endure my long, hard, cold stare and suffer the shame. So, Wisconsin wants every legal marriage to be between one man and one woman...yet they voted in an openly homosexual congresswomen and voted in the Governor who has publicly stated he will veto any measure banning gay marraige. We're too busy milking cows to read up on politics.QUOTE]
framheim
I wish I'd put a bet on this now. In other news, the biggest Democrat scalp has just been taken, and he wasn't even running for election. Donald Rumsfeld has "resigned".awesome news indeed! incredibledisc
I'll show you politics in America. Here it is, right here. "I think the puppet on the right shares my beliefs." "I think the puppet on the left is more to my liking." "Hey, wait a minute, there's one guy holding out both puppets!" Thank you Bill Hicks
Cloud
The Democrats will take the House by about 20 seats, Republican majority of maybe one or two in Senate. The GOP voter base is not galvanised by this election, whereas the Dems are pulling out all the stops. You really should have put a bet on On a serious note, I expected the Republicans to hold onto the Senate by the skin of their teeth, with a narrow Democratic win in the House of Representatives. But no, they've really surprised me in how well they've taken the fight to the Republicans.Did anyone see Hilary Clinton's victory speech? She seems more than ready to go for 2008 now...
