Uncle Mog
I went to turkey last year and it was brilliant. I'm hoping to go to krakow this year - that looks good for stuff during the day and nightlife and its very cheap
A.Pel
Amsterdam? Cheap flights and if you search for it, decent accomodation. Pretty much ideal for a bunch of lads I would say!Outside of the city is decent too.

Alexandra
I have never done a DIY holiday, however if you book on the internet I have found you save a lot compared to if you book on the phone/at the travel agent.

Cloud
ok' date=' so got some ideas. do you recommend doing it DIY or through an agent?[/quote']Depends on what you actually want to do, really. As for where to go - for cheapness and lack of annoying British tourists, Riga is hard to beat.
EchelonDivision
DIY definately. Travel agents will fuck you over for a lot of over-heads... you'll save yourself a small fortune doing it DIY' date=' just stick to reputable hotels and you'll be fine.[/quote']Not true! Most agents can save you lots of cash if you book your flight and hotel with them. I should know, I do this every year and calculate the cost DIY. Expedia, Travelocity, Orbitz, lastminute, easyjet etc are excellent agents.
