Untitled
Liverpool Football Club are delighted to announce that Robbie Fowler has rejoined the club on a free transfer from Manchester City until the end of the season when the situation will be reviewed. Fowler, 30, completed the formalities of what is a sensational move this afternoon. The Manchester City striker is ineligible to play in Sunday's FA Cup tie against Portsmouth but could make an emotional reappearance in front of the Kop against Birmingham City on Wednesday. Toxteth-born Fowler originally shot to prominence with the Reds in the autumn of 1993 and quickly established himself as one of the most lethal finishers in Europe. After breaking countless goalscoring records and captaining the club during the unforgettable treble season of 2000/01, his adoring fans were left stunned when he was transferred to Leeds United in November 2001. His spell at Elland Road was to be short-lived though and in early 2003 he moved back across the Penines to join Manchester City. Now he's back at his spiritual home and news of his Liverpool return will no doubt be greeted with euphoria by his loyal legion of followers. With so much still to play for this season, Rafael Benitez will be hoping that Fowler can now turn back the clock and reproduce his once prolific form in front of goal as the Reds chase Champions League and Premiership glory. yippie i wish he never left

Taylor_dB
I've always said he should never have left. If he could have he would have been at Liverpool his whole career. Thank God (not meaning Fowler, heh) he's back we're he belongs. Now he can do the one thing a legend like him should have done, win the Premiership with the club he loves.Benitez is shrewd in the transfer market. Just a shame we didn't have Fowler against the Mancs.

Guest tv tanned
Liverpool lack a penalty box predator, Fowler provides that.He isn't as fit as he used to be, but give him a sniff of goal and he'll score, which you cannot say of Crouch, Cisse or Morientes. Chris
I reckon he'll be on the bench most of the time fo liverpool but he should get a fair few goals. I've sold cisse the wife beater from my fantasy team and taken in fowler instead, so good luck to him.
TR!ΔNGL€ T€€TH
He's better than that lanky steak of piss Crouch. I nearly wet myself when I found out.
Christy
Absolute pish. Fowler has consistently underachieved from the minute his knees started to give way about five years back. He will not start matches for them, and this move will spoil the nostalgia-based reverie in which he's held on Merseyside. A bad move for Liverpool (though a great move for Fowler, given that he has only started one game for City all season and that was in the cup).love from christy
