Guest haigyman
you've got to admit, it's not THAT bad, slightly less subtle humour yes, but that scene where he does the impression of chris rock is classic.
palmer_eldritch
I love the office. Really curious to see what the US version is like. Anyone know where i can get some footage of it?
Paranoid Android
it's been known about for ages. I haven't seen it, but from what i've heard, most americans who have seen the original, don't really rate this, but expect it to be quite succesful. Wishbone G
I saw a clip on GMTV or this morning or something along those lines. It looked a lot less subtle than the British version, but i dunno, it may be interesting to watch. RF Scott
That looks like a load of bollocks.Utter bollocks - I hate that actor who is playing the boss he's a total pratt unlike ricky gervais?!
Doc Ascension
unlike ricky gervais?!But Ricky Gervais is actually funny, that guy is just an American pratt trying to be funny with humour that isn't funny at all.Ricky Gervais' humour is something completely different, it's very fresh, very serious and fucking hilarious!Have you seen either of his stand up DVDs? (Politics & Animals) - they are awesome.
palmer_eldritch
It's not as bad as i first imagined it would be actually. A bit to "in your face" and loud, but a few moments which still made me laugh in there nevertheless. The humour does seem a bit forced. Not nearly as good as Ricky Gervais
Paranoid Android
are the clips from the pilto episode, i htink that only the first episode is based on the original episode, the rest are completely new, which could be well
Jesus.H.Christ
It was ok, nothing on the British version though.
New Found Power
I never watched the office past the first episode which I half-watched and wasn't too keen on, but HOLY SHIT IT'S BRICK FROM ANCHORMAN.
Da Fat Porn Star
The Office was ok, but it was highly overrated. It was just another bandwagon for people 'in teh know' to jump on. Same as Little Britain, same as League of Gentlemen.
Paranoid Android
The office is far better than little britain, LoG is good, but oyu're right it is over-rated.
Swingin' Ryan
Agreed, the Office is far superior to any of the other new wave of British sitcoms. The American version looks alright. Going by the clip it looks far more suited to and American audience though. I'd probably enjoy it more if I'd never seen the original Office. The Office is a bit left-field for mainstream American comedy, other than a few shows e.g Curb Your Enthusiasm, American's seem to enjoy far more direct, 'gag' based comedy. New Found Power
I just watched the clip. So fuuunnny! Because, like, a white guy tried to use black guy comedy. And, in the process, he offends his colleagues! Ahahaha!! So fuuunny. And so fresh. I would've never seen that joke coming in a million years! So fresh. Guest AmbientMood
Gervais is great. America...just watch one episode of Letterman if you want to grasp their humour..
Guest Logan
Never been into the Office myself. Ricky Gervais is increddibly funny tho.But this American version I couldn't help but laugh as the 'boss' is played by my hero! The guy from Bruce Almighty and Anchorman. Anything he does just makes me howl with laughter. I blame his face. He has a funny face.
