My friend got the album and when I listened to it I was just dissapointed with how bland the album was.

Only heard it once mind.

I was expecting it to be a big pile of arse to be honest, and was pleasantly surprised. To me, it sounds like Aladdin Sane era Bowie crossed with early U2. The Springsteen comparisons don't fit to me now I've heard the entire record.
