Safe. I've got a Pro-M just now, but it's only a 5-piece. I've had my eye on a 6-piece orion for some time. But I think the next logical step will be to get a Saturn. PRETTY much the same kit but a couple of grand less!! Still, a 6-piece Saturn will set me back a fair bit. I'm planning to keep that as my studio/practice/recording kit, then i can keep my Pro-M in my hard cases and just use it to tour with. That's the plan anyway...

aaah you got me. THAT Tooms is my evil twin...i'm the good twin. (twins with the same name, no less...) yah, anyway moving on... Gear. I'm looking at getting some new overhead condensor mics (predominantly for recording cymbals). I've tried out a pair AKG C 1000 S and they're pretty good. Any other recommendations. (on a similar budget to the AKGs)

I dunno. maybe 300-400 for the decks and another 100+ ish for the mixer? Honestly don't really know though. I reckon 500 for the lot and someone has themselves a bargain?

My "username" is my name. In so much as it is my nickname and has been for about 8 or so years. But the origin of the nick name is to do with X Files yes. so if you're not careful I'll come out of hibernation and kill you to eat your spleen, then go back to my newspaper & bile lair!!! Mwahaha.

you only have 3 cymbals? 2 rides and a set of hats? (ok I know that's 4 cymbals technically) that's quite an interesting set-up.

Ambition, fun-seeking, touring and recording are the main aims.

yup. once the van is parked up somewhere safe obv. of course if we havent got a place to stay yet and/or we're driving on i'm usually the only sober one...being the driver. it's rubbish.

hmm... playing a good gig....getting drunk.... i know which one i'd rather do. plus with on stage sound (in most venues that i play) being god awful, there's no way i could play tight with a few drinks in me.

yeah we put a ring of red tape around all of our items of gear so that when we're loading the van we only pick up our stuff. although having said that we generally look after and load out own gear anyway. i have never had anything stolen, but then again i have never ever left any of my gear unattended (as in out of eye sight that isnt locked away or ON stage) let alone left it somewhere over night. I can't think of something I'd want to do less than leave my gear at a venue. Even when we didn't have a van i would cram all my drums etc into my tiny car, and band mates would do the same. The people who have had things stolen, has this predominanlty been when things have been left overnight???

yeah man, we already covered this on msn but yeah give me a shout if you decide to sell and i'll probably take it off your hands. And yeah price is fine.
