  1. Anyone know when Spin is opening? I'm sure I read somewhere that it was Dec 1st, but it aint open yet, walked to littlejohn street in the rain too.
  2. It's the little bits that you'd miss if you don't have the subtitles on. Really funny moments kind of hidden away, whereas the big obvious in your face jokes are very hit or miss. Like living in Sunnyvale, it really helps to be high while watching Trailer Park Boys. Very much made by and for stoners. Been doing my yearly "right i've watched too much archer and sunny... what's new... aw fuck it, havent watching The Thick Of It in a while" The Thick of It rewatch. Still amazingly funny, razor sharp wit and biting satire. It's funny watching stuff and the "don't say swarming" moments you're like "politicians should watch this and maybe they wouldn't make the same mistakes." Was a bit uncomfortable when Hugh made a joke about being treated like a registered nonce though. yuck.
  3. Doubles is definitely better for competitive play. But you can only play Rumble in 3 on 3 and you'll always get some dick on your team who doesn't take their turn in goals. I got Infinite Warfare/MW remastered. Was down to £50 over Black Friday weekend. I'm not a massive fan of COD, but you don't get many split-screen online FPSs. I play MW, then chuck on IW for some splitscreen with the mrs. Means we can trade in the abortion that was BLOPS III
  4. That's the one. No dicks on this album cover so the name didn't stick in my mind. As seen by this thread already, OF are quite polarising. I'm a big Tyler fan. I think his earlier stuff is a little too much shock for the sake of shock. He lists Eminem as an influence and you can really tell. I personally think he's pretty hilarious at times. His newer stuff is a lot better. Check out Cherry Bomb. His first three solo albums (Bastard, Goblin and Wolf) are about alter-egos, split personalities and rapping from different character POVs, so as you can see, very Slim Shady-esque. But I think it's more ambitious than Em. Bastard, Goblin and Wolf form a grand story, with Wolf being a prequel and set at Camp Flog Gnaw (which is Tyler's IRL yearly festival). Also, get ready to hear golf wang and every iteration you can think of. OF is OFWGKTA (Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All). Tyler turned the Wolf Gang part in to Golf Wang, which is his clothing line, then flip reversed it to make his Camp Flog Gnaw. I rate earl too. V. happy that EarlWolf is a thing again. Domo is pretty decent but not on Tyler or Wolf levels. Frank Ocean was also a part of OF for a while, and he's just the bee's knees. Heres some of my favourite Tyler tracks, and note how there's none off Bastard.
  5. Guardians Of The Galaxy - I assume everyone knows what this is about. I loved it. Everyone was fantastic. Proper belly laughs all the way through. I've sort of went off of Chris Pratt. It seemed like he was just doing his Andy schtick everywhere, but I thought he was great in this. Bradley Cooper is probably the stand out performance and he's just a voice. Also, is it just me or are the stand alone Marvel movies (GOTG, Ant-man) and netflix tv shows trump the Avengers movies and tie-ins in every way? Was surprised at the amount of swearing in GOTG, but I like sweary jokes, so it was a pleasant surprise. And sure, they teased Thanos, but it didn't feel like almost every other marvel film feels like - a build up the the big "end of phase movie".
  6. I Picked up a Death Grips album earlier this week that I hadn't heard of before. It might be new. That was good. Seems like they're getting heavier.
  7. Really enjoyed the new De La Soul album too. As for other great raps of this year, this is my top rap of the year. Out does the Kanye West version in every way.
  8. I knew of a guy who worked for DHL that go sacked for that. Was his last delivery of the day to a business, but no one answered the door. He looked in the window and saw some lights on. He decided to climb in through window and he got caught trespassing and got sacked.
  9. I think it was popularised recently by a Far Cry game and some tv shows.
  10. I loved it. Gameplay can get repetitive though. But the story keeps you there. I used to love Skate. Hopefully Sony gets their backwards compatibility together soon. Might go buy it for ps3 though.
  11. But comics sound warm when you read them. Digital colours are too "clean". Got a reply from Forbidden Planet. They don't have Batman 1 in stock. They are getting in touch with their supplier but don't know when it'll come back in stock. Do I wait so I get it for £1.95 at some point, with the risk that they might not get the first print in stock again. Or do I bite the bullet now and just pay the £3 odd to get it on ebay?
  12. Pumped BMX+ is simple but addicting. 100%'d it pretty fast. It actually takes skill near the end.
  13. I'm not sure if it gets better, or if over time you get used to the bad acting and that. Some properly LOL moments. Then the director/showrunner left and netflix bought it and now the cast writes the episodes and what little nuance there was, is completely gone. Season 10 was particularly terrible. The newest "season" where they do a tour of Europe and do tasks to get money is good. But the acting is still bad and the green screen is worse. Season 1 starts slow and doesn't go anywhere. I watched it in a day while smoking and loved the fact they ended up back in jail. So I stayed with it and it got funnier until season 8. Season 8 was the beginning of the end. I've got to give props to them though, they are actually implementing the popularity of the show in to the show. Season 10 sees celebrity fans visit the park. Which was cheesy, but would happen. US Office's finale with almost no one turning up to the Q&A? So unbelievable. I've been watching Luke Cage, Jessica Jones and Daredevil. In that order. I know I did it out of order. Made it kind of cooler though. Things mentioned in passing in LC was like "oh I wonder how this happens in JJ". Trying to get through DD as fast as possible to get to The Punisher. Heard he's the best Punisher so far.
  14. That's straight out the comics. Which I'm all for. How brutal the first episode is, and how whacky the second was, can only be good as in previous seasons they've shied away from getting too close to the comics. I'm more excited for what this means for season 8, hopefully they have the balls to do the whisperers.
  15. There's been a few good ones, but the vast majority of anti-trump music has been cringey so far. So you know, music is probably going to be really shit for the next four years.
  16. My pal keeps going on about it. I'm the kind of guy that would download an mp3 off itunes but not feel right until I bought it physically. I like I series on Netflix and I check out how much the boxset is. I like to have things. Same with comics. I'm purposefully not reading some series because I can't afford to buy them all. And if I like the older stuff on Marvel Unlimited tomorrow's Evening Express headline would be "local lad fails in bank robbery, blames Stan Lee" I keep seeing this everywhere. Any good? What's it about? Anyone ever ordered from Forbidden Planet's website? I ordered Batman 1-10. All were in stock. I got the dispatch email. I got excited. So excited I didn't realise they only dispatched 2-10. So, I'm waiting on them to find #1 and send it to me. Don't really want to have to find it on eBay.
  17. Rick and Morty is fantastic. Wouldn't compare it too much to Adventure Time, but I do see the comparison though. It's like an Adventure Time for Adults, in the same way something like Family Guy is the sweary/offensive version of The Simpsons. Harmon did an AMA recently and just wouldn't let up about the 3rd season's release. It's coming close to that year and a half mark though, many speculate it'll be in december we finally see it.
  18. So, what's everyone thinking of Season 7? Best it's been in a good while.
  19. Anyone been reading decent comics recently? I kind of fell out of love with comics for a while. Barely remembered to pick up the new Walking Dead TPB when it came out. Sister's bf is heavy in to comics and it kind of reignited my passion. Recent purchases/series I'd reccomend: All-Star Batman - Batman and Two-Face take a road trip. Pretty damn decent. DC Universe Rebirth Batman - Haven't read this yet, just ordered 1-10 on forbidden planet as the rest of the rebirth stuff as been great. Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Issue 1 was pretty decent. Cant find issue 2 and it's been over a month since I got 1. Boo-urns. Cage - Luke Cage, in the 70s. Really funny. I still need to find out if the artist is black, cause if he's not then I don't think it's funny I think it's racist. Dead No More - Clone Conspiracy - Never been much of a Spidey fan, but this seems like a great event. 3 tie-ins a month though, fuck sake. Deadpool & The Mercs for Money - Deadpool is leading a group of mercs, for money. Typical deadpool funny stuff. Deadpool - Back in Black - After that black alien shit was rejected by Spidey, it became venom, but not before taking a brief stop off at Deadpool. Deadpool Too Soon? - Deadpool gets the funniest comic characters together for a Christmas card, but someone dies - oh oh! Doom Patrol - Gerard Way writing for DC's Young Animals. It's weird. No idea what it's about but it was good. DC Universe Rebirth Justice League - Justice League taking on massive threats to the planet. Pretty decent. Little Girl Black - A guy is keeping girls from different races captive for sex and torture. He kills his "black one" and goes to replace her. He messes with the wrong woman though. The Lost Boys - Sequel to the film in comic form. It's great, but then you see Corey Haim IRL and it makes you sad. Old Man Logan - Wolverine is old now, he just wants to tend farm and raise his family. But villains rule the world. He goes back in time to stop that from happening. The Punisher - New punisher series. Pretty damn good. They censor the swears tho, which is a bit shit tbh. Reborn - New Mark Millar series. Still waiting for issue 2, as issue 1 was just a set up. But it was sad, and on purpose, so it was pretty good. DC Universe Rebirth Suicide Squad - This is cool. If you didn't enjoy the film, you'll enjoy this. Isn't a total fuck up of the series. DC Universe Rebirth Superman - Bit of an Old Man Logan vibe. Supes just wants to tend farm and raise his son. But his son is half human, half krypto. It's been great so far. Favourite of the DCU Rebirth series.
  20. I'm wanting to get fit again. I hate the gym. Never motivated and I never feel like I"m having fun. So I get bored and go home quickly. Was hoping to get a wee 5-a-side game on the go. Being out in huntly is shit for that, but if anyone semi-regularly needs an out of shape midfielder with bad vision and no kit I'll be happy to play.
  21. Completed Mafia 3. It was great. I saw a lot of people saying the gameplay was repetitive, but that didn't bother me. It's very much like the game play of Assassins Creed Syndicate. Take down small things, take down small bosses, beat the big boss, take over that part of the city. Repeat until end. But the story made it all okay. And the way the story was portrayed - it was like a documentary, people now talking about what Lincoln Clay got up to. The ending was amazing. It crashed every few hours and some of the glitches were annoying as fuck, but that shows how great the story was that I kept with it. I enjoyed NMS but the crashes have made me not want to put it back on since the first week of playing. Really enjoyed FIFA 17's The Jouney. Some of the dialogue options were naff. Really cringey. And the fact they didn't get managers to do voice acting meant the lead coach did all the talking while the manager just stood there looking gormless. But the overall story was fun. I'm hoping they implement a story to your own player character next year, instead of just playing as Alex Hunter again. The attitude scale seemed utterly pointless. You still got enough followers for sponsorships even if you were cool (which loses you some followers for every thousand or so you gain) and the sponsorships seemed to not gain you any money. Best career mode EA have done will always be on Tiger Woods PGA Tour. Real choice. No story, but you got to make real choices that seemed to matter. Played GTA Online again. Joined a race, guy got out his car and sniped me coming round corners. Took me about half an hour to finish the race. I came first though. Just had to dodge his bullets and kill him every once in a while. Rumble mode on Rocket League is fantastic. Best upgrade to the game. Never playing the vanilla version again.
  22. I think it was a cracked video, but i saw somewhere that spotify is actually in a massive amount of debt. they're not hoarding money. the problem is that the payments go to the record companies first, who then divvy it up at their own discretion. meaning spotify give money to the record companies, who then keep most of it for themselves and pay next to nothing (they could pay nothing if they wanted to) to the bands.
  23. have you tried downloading the update somewhere else on to a flash drive, then updating from that? I think you can do that on ps4 so can't see why you shouldn't be able to do that on xbone. ps just noticed how long ago your post was. and that you managed to update the xbone but not the game. but just a tip for future internet-fuckery.
  24. I'm hoping if the MPs debate this, we may get some actual facts out. Farage/Boris kept spouting a "norway deal" which is, as we all know, basically abiding by the rules with no input on to which those rules are. Less lies on buses, more truths that hard-brexiters cant side step or lie past.
  25. "this internet thing is a whole different ball game"
