  1. Ok, another quick question regarding this. Do any of you use additional footswitches (ie FSX-3 for a JamMan) to switch between loops, or is this not that necessary?
  2. Advanced Higher English.....what a waste
  3. I'm thinking of mainly just building up guitar layers, but I won't be too sure of whatever else until I get one and start experimenting with one. Yeah, it's definitely a soundhole pickup I want to get. Do you just have the lead coming out of the soundhole, and is this any hassle?
  4. First off, I'm keen on getting a loop pedal for possible solo stuff. Currently it's a toss up between a JamMan, a Boss RC20 or and Akai Headrush. Anybody had experience of any of them, or be able to say which one would be the best choice? Also I want to fit a pickup to my acoustic guitar. I want a fairly cheap one so was thinking a Fishman Neo-D. Are these any good? Any advice would be a great help. Also if anyone has such things for sale, please get in touch.
  5. It's not like that was the only clubnight with that type of bands playing.
  6. Fair doos to the people involved for actually listening to the comments on here. If the Lemon Tree is willing to take on suggestions from musicians and fans in the city, then that at least seems like there may be some promise for it. The potential is there for something good to come out of this, but a purely money-driven set up isn't going to benefit the scene at all.
  7. Strokes Offshoots: Little Joy Tour, Nickel Eye LP Info | Pitchfork so there you go D-Rock

  9. The latest one that I've heard about that's pissed me off is the English remake of 13 Tzameti which is set to star Jason Statham, Mickey Rourke and 50 Cent. fuck sake
  10. Perhaps never saying "damn kick ass" ever again
  11. As a general rule of thumb if they are asking for money, it's a scam.
  12. Copy Haho and Cast of the Capital for me. Also The Confidantes and Toy are absolutely prime live acts. Both have got great frontmen.
  13. It's maybe more subtle than the "Hi, we like your music tracks, and would like you too sign you to our Music Record Label, just send us $1000 thanking you please" ones that are more the norm, but it's still pretty obviuosly a shitty piece of scam spam.
  14. Got delivered today, and you're not wrong. In fact, I'd go as far as to say you're right.
  15. I got Wanted on dvd the other day. Although some of it is ridiculous (exploding rats o_O), I'm a big fan of Timur Bekmambetov, so I think most of it looks pure dead cool.
  16. I reckon Sparkles underwent a transformation after this thread, and became Stripey.
  17. I'm really into Yacht Rock So smooth.
  18. Tonight is lads night in in Kemnay, to follow on from the fancy dress party from last night. Saturday and Sunday will then consist of 15 hours of work interspersed with episodes of FOTC and the 2nd series of the Wire.
  19. Dave's right, Ross has put on shows for some really good touring bands (Lightspeed Champion, Art Brut, Late of the Pier), and given some decent support slots at these gigs to local bands. It's just his treatment of local bands that pisses me off.
  20. AGP I don't mean to be a prick but "outing" him, but we're clearly not the only band to feel dicked about by him
  21. yeah, we played our third gig with him recently and he didn't seem to care that we'd purposefully made little effort with the tickets. But this time he was actually sober.
  22. I have a feeling I know exactly who you are talking about, as we've had the exact same scenario. Unusual venues would be really good, but I can understand why anyone would be reluctant to try. Who is it you're putting on?
  23. Yip, it's been gone for a while now. I know what you mean, you could never get hold of anyone, especially if you were owed money. Even arranging to go round there in person was no good, they'd always just "forget".
