Yeah at this point Walt is meant to be the villain, that's the whole concept of the show. I heard an interview with Vince Gilligan where he said he has no sympathy for Walt anymore, and it's taken them by surprise that viewers still root for him.

To be honest for a few dozen people out of a small percentage of people with an interest in music out of a small city, I think this site does alright with a broad non-specific coverage of music discussion. Sure there could be a bunch more people with a keen interest in UK bass, grime or trap, but they'd be just as ignorant and be as useless for feedback for djent or grindcore projects that could get posted up here. Also some of my favorite posts and threads here have been those where people post educational topics about genres/artists that they like that aren't well known by the majority of members here. Giles has had quite a few posts like this, and that krautrock thread from a while ago got me into a shitload of music. And in regards to the original topic of this thread, the moderation of this site hits a good balance most of the time, I suspect Lucky being over-zealous might be due to personally not liking certain people, but I'd gladly be wrong about that. Anyway this is weird and gross, I post here because it's just irreverent enough without becoming too inane, not for SRS BSNS threads. LOL

I do often find myself reading the Cool Thoughts and Local News Thread and wishing that Cool Thinker would quit with all the logical, concise, sane posts and be a bit more random. Thx 4 making this thread.

Is Sightseers out on DVD now? I really want to get round to seeing it. The main actor from it turns up as the more comedic character in A Field in England.

A Field In England - Directed by the guy who did Kill List (which I liked, but holy shit it was super intense). A group of English civil war deserters try to head to a pub across a field, get forced to search for gold by an evil alchemist, ingest a bunch of magic mushrooms and some thoroughly weird shit ensues. That's pretty much all that happens, but it all happens in a cool way. I liked that for an artsy film it still had a fairly silly sense of humour, the director uses sound really well, and stuff that might have seemed quite wanky-film-student-ish (shot in black and white, tripping out scenes) worked pretty well IMO. Even though I have no clue what was going on for some of it, I still found it a bit more accessible than a lot of other arthouse films. 7/10 (maybe more once I watch it again)

Yeah I've had to take shit for saying I'd hate Love Actually without ever seeing it. If you have enough context for something, there's no problem writing it off. I've never experienced wanking with a belt sander, doesn't mean I need to try it first before declaring it to be affa nippy.

That picture reminds of a CD-ROM that one of the earlier PCs my family got came with that made horrible 3D pictures and animations. If I could find it again, I'd make a killing churning out hipster album artwork and videos.

It's sounds like the Pixies doing a cover of The Fall. Which is the kind of thing I'd be in too.
