  1. tim westwood is older than hip-hop.
  2. I liked NMDS but i prefer Gatorface and Virgins now.
  3. i just got crime in stero 'is dead' on blue vinyl in the mail today. awesome record. the new bridge and tunnel song on myspace is ace.
  4. i have a panasonic lumix - Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS20 digital camera - Jessops takes beautiful photos for a compact.
  5. P.O.S - Never Better. The artwork is amazing - Hot Water Music - Caution and A Flight & A Crash 12"s Shorebirds - s/t 7"
  6. i've amped up my collecting spirit and was looking to get some local stuff. been abit put off the cavern now, think i'll stick to the no idea distro and the guy i just made pals with by giving him lots of money through ebay [gold hot water music 12"!!]
  7. are there any? also, where's good to pick up vinyl in aberdeen? the one up section is really small, and HMV seem to have gotten rid of there's altogether. never been in the cavern though, what's that like?
  8. propagandhi are the shipping tits.
  9. did they back their massive tour bus down the east green?! i walked past yesterday and did a double take.
  10. drive about in a jeep fitted with a spiked ball and chain, killing raptors all the while. Play Game | Off-Road Velociraptor Safari plays right in your browser!
  11. I see John Fleck is being tipped for full honours despite playing a handful of top flight games for Rangers. Yes, he has put in good performances and definetly has the potential to be a very good striker, but surely putting all the pressure on him so early will affect his game? You just have to look at all the potential stars of yester-year than never lived up to expectations for proof. It's also a kick in the teeth to players who have worked hard over a number of seasons to try and break into the national side, Lee Miller being the obvious example. Thoughts?
  12. I have a bootleg of a Thorns of Life show they did at Gilman Street. Sounds shit hot, but the first song, about Blake losing his virginity, is really horrible. But yeah, Jawbreaker ftw or whatever. I would reccomend checking out - Banner Pilot, The Bronx, Latterman, Shorebirds [feat. members of Latterman and Jawbreaker!], Mouthbreather, Screeching Weasel, ealier Crime In Stereo stuff [...Is Dead is a cracking good album, but a departure from their early sound], Dead To Me, Lifetime, Shook Ones, Propagandhi [supporting Caste sounds fucking amazing!!], The Steal and You, Me and the Atom Bomb.
  13. if you convert it to AVI instead of mp4, it's alot quicker and a smaller file size with negligible loss of quality.
  14. the places i want to visit isn't set in stone [for example, gothenburg is looking an attractive proposition now it's been mentioned] but as i am planning on moving to western europe when i finish university i'll be using the trip not just for fun but also r&d. i'm planning on getting a railcard, but it dosen't seem as straightforward as i thought. i'm still very, very early in the planning stages though and haven't researched anything nearly enough yet.
  15. thanks for all the replies guys, but maybe some of you can expand on what you found so enjoyable about your time in the cities you've mentioned? also, what travel guides should i look into? 'lonely planet' springs instantly to mind, but i've heard good things about the 'let's go' series.
  16. nah, have met people like that and it's insanely boring chatting to them. it's like: "man, that was a really good meal" and then the reply of "not a patch on the one i ate in a cave in latvia with a dragon, oh man that was a good meal!" at which point i'm either asleep or the room is dripping with well-travelled blood. sometimes both. anyways, it's cheaper to do it before you're 25 it seems and as i reach a quarter century next year, it makes sense.
  17. i should mention that poland is not on my list of countries to visit. currently it stands as: belgium holland luxembourg austria czech republic germany italy
  18. i'm planning on backpacking around europe next year and i'm just starting to do my research into where to go etc. keeping with the current trend of threads on here, does anyone have any experiences they wish to share of their time in europe, places to go/stay/eat/avoid? or perhaps some general advice? hopefully the exchange rate will be slightly more in my favour come next year!
  19. reheated leftovers?!?! sacrilege! anyways, some of the best eat-in chinese restaurants that i've experience are chinatown [the dim sum menu is taaaaasty!] on dee street and the one that has the massive menu outside on bridge street. i forget the name, but it's massive inside and so are the portions. i recommend the squid at both.
  20. awesome, thanks for the tips! will report back after i've made some faces explode.
