  1. I find it hard to think of a good thing to say about the nauseating wretch.
  2. That video is actually fucking brilliant, ho ho ho...
  3. None of those cunts are as annoying as Kate Nash tbh.
  4. Great band, I've got "Beyond the Permafrost" and an earlier album that I can't recall the name of, both cracking discs.

Each to their own I guess, I thought they just looked a little uninterested? They were probably baked out of their skulls mind... COC were fucking ace though.

Clutch are ace... seen them live twice, the first time was with Corrosion of Conformity and I thought they were dull as piss, but they were cracking in April this year at the Garage . The Sword & Taint were awesome support acts too. As far as albums go I'd say "The Elephant Riders" is my favourite, but "Blast Tyrant" is probably a nice way to ease into them. Sleep and all related acts (High on Fire, Om, Kalas) are a must too.

Also, if you've not already discovered this website yet I'd suggest you take a lot at it. It's a fantastic resource, especially the "MP3 Jukebox" section in which you should be able to find sample MP3s for just about every artist that is suggested to you in this thread.

Unida are cracking... well, a lot better than Hermano who are a bit hit and miss (new album is a cracker though). I second the Slo Burn recommendation, probably my favourite post-Kyuss band. Most of the better known bands (COC, Down, Clutch, Alabama Thunderpussy (get "Fulton Hill," cracking album), Kyuss etc. are top notch. I'd suggest that if you're into the more riff-based stuff you get your hands on some Sasquatch (I think their two albums go for about 4-5 each on Amazon Marketplace), very under-rated band with bags full of groove. Solace are a brilliant band too, and although their stuff is quite hard to track down you should try and get hold of their "The Black Black" EP, perfect stoner rock. sHEAVY's "Solarized" album is great too if you can tolerate the Ozzy-esque vocals. Also pretty much anything Brant Bjork has touched is worth a look (especially Che's "Sounds of Liberation"). If you're up for something a bit heavier, I second unbroken's Weedeater recommendation for some crazy sludge nastyness. Also get your teeth into some Crowbar, Eyehategod and Iron Monkey. Almost forgot Orange Goblin, phenomenal band... check out their earlier stuff for a more spacey/doomy vibe and their later stuff for groove-based rocking. If you need any more ideas give me a shout, I live for this stuff. Have fun .
  9. This, plus Alabama Thunderpussy/Halfway to Gone.
  10. Spot on. South Park and peak era Simpsons for me... can't stand Family Guy.
  11. Mogwai - "Young Team" Pelican - "Pelican" Pelican - "Australasia" Steve Von Till - "If I Should Fall To The Field" Red Sparowes - "Every Red Heart Shines Toward The Sun" Isis - "Panopticon" Isis - "Sgnl>05" Red Giant - "Ultra Magnetic Glowing Sound" Phew.
  12. Newcastle were fucking mingin' yesterday! Don't worry tho, Big Sam's going to get it right...
  13. Phwoar... looks like a wee trip to Germany next summer is on the cards
  14. Leaked today didn't it? I'm gonna wait 'til it comes out I think, I'll get my pre-order in ASAP. How does it compare to "We Live"?
  15. Yas min! Testament Slayer Exodus Destruction Kreator Sodom DRI Nuclear Assault Possessed Forbidden Death Angel Vio-lence Exhorder (not 80's, I know) Loads of cracking bands from that era... great to see thrash making a comeback with bands like Municipal Waste, SSS, Skeletonwitch and Blood Tsunami coming through as well.
  16. Started off the Sunday league season today with a titanic 12-0 thrashing at the hands of the league champions, gutted. Not a great game to be a central defender in, let me tell ya...
  17. Acrimony - "The Acid Elephant" EP Slo Burn - "Amusing the Amazing" (been looking for this at a reasonable price for ages) Hermano - "...Into The Exam Room" Dax Riggs - "We Sing of Only Blood Or Love"
  18. Yeah spot on, I've never seen such an "ordinary" performance produce four goals. Not complaining like. Miller's second goal was a bit of a peach, lovely ball from Jackie too... Miller played pretty well actually, he's a canny player when he stops fannying around looking for fouls everytime an opponent brushes past him. I thought JDV did well, some nice touches and a couple of good passes but he looks slow as hell, hopefully that's just a match practice issue. Second penalty looked like a blatant dive from where I was sitting (RDS, right in front of him) but I'll wait 'till I see the highlights before I make a judgement. If it was a dive I hope Jimmy hammers him for it; never want to see that kind of shit from one of my teams. I thought Considine was a bit sloppy at times and Mackie looked like he didn't have any studs in his boots (lost count of the number of times he slipped) but other than that everyone did their jobs. Barry Nic was pretty quiet.
  19. They love a bit of racism over there though, anyone remember this?
  20. Carcass!?! Fuckin' hell man... bitches better tour!
  21. That's a cracking video Do these geezers take themselves really seriously, or are they just having a laugh? Cos some of those are really fuckin' comical...
  22. I'm not adverse to a little bit of death here and there, I just find the lyrics hysterical.

Yes, Red Sparowes are most excellent. Pick up "At The Soundless Dawn," you wont be disappointed.
  24. Any thoughts for the Dons game on Thursday then? Apparently since we've played them they've lost 3-1, 4-1 and 2-0... reckon we might be able to sneak a 1-1. Their defence looked pretty shite when we played them at Pittodrie, if we have a real go at them early on and scare the shit out of them then we should be okay.
