Absolutely stunning single player game, only wish it was a tad longer :-(.

Almost exactly the same here... I played a 4-4-2 in the last game with a fast striker playing off a tall target man. In one season for Newcastle Oba Martins and Steffen Iversen (absolutely IMMENSE in '07!) scored about 60 between them, it was nuts. Always used to set the target man for "Near Post Flick-on" at corners which was an easy way to get 7 or 8 goals a season. Unfortunately neither of these seem to work on '08, but that's cool, means you have to adapt which is a good challenge. I played a season with Derby, playing my 4-4-2 target man tactic through 'til Christmas, ended up hovering around 19th. Switched to a far more adventurous 4-2-1-3 with a good finisher on the left (Andy Cole, hero!) a physically good all-rounder in the middle (Carlton Cole/Marlon King) and a lanky beast on the right (Steve Howard). Worked wonders, ended up finishing 14th with the central striker & attacking midfielder scoring loads.

I have a real copy, and I didn't pay a stupid price for it either . Cracking EP though.

I like it; the atmosphere around the track is great. Regarding the percussion, I really like the idea but Woody and Stripey are right, it does kind of "pop". The rythm is nice though and with an alternate approach to the percussion I'm sure it'll sound great. Good effort .

I'm not that fussed... it's a shame about people losing their jobs and all but the place had been putting on fewer and fewer gigs I was interested in over recent years (although admittedly some corkers have already been mentioned in this threat), and the stupid ticket prices put me off gigs I might have otherwise been interested in. I echo the points put forward by Scott and Stuart. I have the utmost sympathy for those who have lost their jobs at this time of year but from where I stand the 200,000 idea looks to be incredibly misguided. Honestly, what on Earth is going to happen once the initial 200k has been bumped in? It sounds like the business needs a complete revamp from top to bottom in order for it to become sustainable and that's something that will take a great deal of time, effort and money. There's absolutely no point whatsoever in saving the place if it's going to continue to haemorrhage money.

Fair enough, I'm thinking of it more from an AFC point of view though... the atmosphere at Todders isn't exactly jumping at the moment anyway, just imagining how "great" it would be with 10-15,000 "stuffed" into a 30,000 seater.

Christ, who came up with this brainbuster? We couldn't even half-fill Todders this Sunday gone...

FM08 is a corker. The skin is fucking disgusting and without the beta patch there is a ridiculous closing down bug in the match engine that is very irritating, but if you get the patch and a new skin it's dynamite. Just completed my first season as Derby, finished 16th and the board decided to give me a 25m transfer budget for the second season o_O. Kenny Miller managed to score a monster 2 goals in 25 appearances, but I still managed to offload him to Everton for 4m, ha! Sign Mika Aaritalo, he's a fucking titan. Well worth investing in, just make sure you don't have any important deadlines coming up.
