This sounds promising - definitely something that Aberdeen is currently missing, and I've always thought it would be decent to have a band that do covers of hip hop/soul/funk instrumentals, because there are some top notch tunes out there that aren't given their due by many because they consider it to be just the underlying accompaniment to the vocals.

Seconded. I managed to get a pair of tickets about an hour ago from Livenation. Ticketmaster aren't always the be all and end all of available gig tickets - pre-touting of course.

A lot of legal highs are sold as 'plant feeder', with the instuctions often indirectly explaining to "drop one plant feeder tablet with water". I wonder if anyone has actually tried giving this to a plant before.

I'm no expert on legal highs, but that article does mention that they were out drinking. These legal highs usually have a clear warning on the back of their packaging warning that you should not drink while taking them. While I don't take them myself, I do know quite a few people who do (usually combining it with drink) and they are all twats on the shit. Hopefully they see some sense and quit before something serious happens to one of them. It's not worth the risk at all.

Seconded. If there's one thing Aberdeen has been missing for a long time, it's a regular free-form jazz night. Precipeace at Kef was excellent stuff. 5 for a bottle of house wine resulted in many regretful schooldays in 6th year.

I completely agree on this - there's loads of people in oil companies who walk around all day drinking coffee and trying to look busy when in reality they do fuck all work. The catering staff at my job work their arse off and I know they do, so I try to show them some respect.

PhysX (when it was made by Aegia) used to be a seperate card instead of being integrated onto the graphics card, then Nvidia bought them out to capitalise. Every Nvidia I have had has crapped out on me, and yet I have had no problems with ATI (using an HD4850 at the moment), so they can shove their physics hardware acceleration up their arse - it really doesn't make much of a difference to me, and I have seen the comparison videos.
