Good call - he has a few cracking tunes on the new Dubstep Allstars complilation. Rusko's essential mix from 2008 was alright enough, but quite tame compared to what I would usually go for. His new stuff is fucking atrocious. I preferred him when he was making tunes like Action Dread. This is a decent remix: Other worthwhile metions are Kromestar, Headhunter, RSD and Pinch. In fairness, probably most of the bands you listen to have a 'bassist' who plays the root notes of the chord and uses a pick on a 2000 Precision Bass. Another important requirement for a competent bassist is rhythm - something you clearly aren't ready for yet.

Acoustic Ladyland were on fire, although I can't help but feel they have lost a bit of appeal for me without their keyboard player. It gave the tunes a nicer edge compared to guitar. Even though they are hardly similar, I still prefer Polar Bear live. I can't recommend them enough, even if jazz isn't your thing. Seb mentioned they may be playing in October.
