  1. Iron Maiden 'Killers' or 'Number of the Beast'.
  2. Firstly I'd go to September 1982 and not go to 'that' party in Garthdee. Then I'd go to June 1983 and not go to 'that' party out the road. Then I'd go back to 1987 and kick the living daylights out of Manda Godden for nicking my bloke and leaving me homeless instead of being wet and crap and not standing up for myself. Lastly, I would very much like to revisit the Iron Maiden gig in the Capitol in 1984 when I turned down the tour managers request to go back to the hotel, as the band wanted to 'meet some nice girls' and just go to the bloody hotel instead of replying 'sorry but my mum says she'll have me put into care if I go off with any more bands and get my picture in Kerrang! again'.... I'm still kicking myself over that one.
  3. As someone who was there first time round (with plenty to spare...) I do get a bit queasy about all this stuff being revamped and churned out, purely because it makes me feel bloody ancient. And anyone who remembers Starsky and Hutch the first time round will say that the movie was crap and an insult to the glorious David Soul. And Dukes of Hazzard - how can that dozy bimbo ever hope to emulate the wondrous being that was the real Daisy Duke? And now I hear there are plans afoot to recreate Wonder Woman. If someone appropriately goddess-like being such as Angelina Jolie were to take over Lynda Carter's mantle I could cope, but if they appoint some scrawny little anorexic teen queen I will eat my stars and stripes shorts.
  4. Haven't tried it yet but just got the latest Scottish Licensed Trade News at work and there's a massive photie of it on the front cover with a rejoinder to 'Power up your sales now!' Apparently a purchase of 2.5 bottles per month can boost your bar takings by 140..... Toilet cleaner you say? Yum......
  5. Running order Does anyone know the running order for tonight's gig in The Tunnels? I want to see My Latest Novel but have arranged to meet in the pub beforehand at 8 and am now worried I'll miss them!
  6. I saw My Latest Novel at T and thought they were great - quirky yet not annoying (see 'Bjork' for definition of quirky and annoying) - the song about wolves was borderline 'up yer own arse' but apart from that I liked them. Will def go and see them.
  7. Well stated Keilan, and backed up with the relevant stats.
  8. I heard ruimour that a Radar's reunion is taking place tomorrow night in the Wodka Bar or Siberia or whatever its called nowadays. Can anyone confirm this is true?
  9. God I feel ancient. I saw it when it first came out - I must have been about 15 or 16 and it was an absolute must-see with about 30 folk crowded into someone's mum's living room to watch it on video. I was very traumatised by it at the time and its shock effect hasn't lessened with time. It's the whole premise of breaking someone's spirit to such an extent that got me.
  10. Bucketloads of pasta in any form, with lots of cheese. If I feel really really shite then Kraft Cheesey pasta is always a winner. As are sweet 'n' sour Pot Noodles. Carbohydrates and fat, really.
  11. I think hugely obese people in denial should be bought very large mirrors and be made to stand naked in front of them while a series of standard sized folk take it in turn to stand next to them, until they finally concede that they have a problem.
  12. 80's music Ooh - back to Kincorth Community Centre disco, circa 1981...... Haircut 100, Altered Images, Soft Cell, Madness, Bad Manners, Kim Wilde, Quartermass 'Harden my heart' - oooh - that was a classic. And who was that weird wifey with the funny hair 'Drowning in Berlin'?
