  1. p.s. I have no plans to beat you up. Your constant scratching of your bonce was wrankling me by the end, tho
  2. Wrong to assume it was negative. I'm just saying that was a time and a place where singing self-penned songs on an acoustic guitar was enough to get you an audience, and maybe a more attentive one at that. Plus, the self-styled singer-songwriter was perhaps rarer then. You're in essential in the grand scheme of things, but I liked your set because it was a good listen, basically, nice and uptempo. I can see why you were booked, to make it evening of gentle singer-songwriters. Perhaps there should be a venue dedicated to only acoustic performers
  3. As I said to a friend at the time about Steven: "He's inessential, but I'm having him". It's a pity you weren't born 60 years ago, you would have gone down a treat playing a Beat cafe in Grenwich Village
  4. Ah, so a fright over breakfast can be expected
  5. Would they do it at night? Or is it done automatically?
  6. Finding a solitary Murray Mint in the pocket of a seldom-used kagool is by far the greater discovery. I know 2 can buy many Murray Mints, but ask yourself this: could you be bothered?
  7. Was your "who'd have thought my sorrows would be such strong swimmers" one of his? Or was it a paraphrase of the U2 lyric "I was drowning my sorrows, but my sorrows they learned to swim, surrounding me, going down on me, spilling over the brim"?
  8. Don't get me started on W.C. Fields Ok, just one: "What contemptible scoundrel stole the cork from my lunch?"
  9. I swear I saw Skye loving Snow Patrol in the highlights of the Isle of Wight Festival last night
  10. That is a big ask. I reckon my sister was probably in your class. I'm sure the girls were just as embarrassed as you were And what about that Stone Roses comp with One Love and Something's Burning on it? 1992?
  11. Mine just collapsed as I frantically withdrew and replaced CDs. Seriously!
  12. Also, A New Order album? (not that that's necessarily a good thing)
  13. There must have been a Suede album that year. Dog Man Star? Or was that 94?
  14. What's the frequency, Kenneth? Good to see a Green Day obsessive acknowledging the above bands as punk. But let's not go there again
  15. Hear we go again. I'm guessing by the length of time the page takes to load, that a lot of people think their results will be up by now. I hear some peopple have all of theirs already, but I don't even have 1 yet
  16. Presumably you mean St.Nicholas Kirk? My mum often cautions be about walking through there, and I argue that it's surrounded by the busiest streets there is. But I guess things do go on there
