Just a wee bit of grit on the bass really helps it cut through a mix, I think. That and having the volume up at 10,000. xx

I've been using a big muff with the blend settings there to add grit but I think I might just swap that out for a Soul Food, the demos are pretty lovely for that thing! xx

Walking Dead. Just finished the latest season. No Spoilers. Am I the only one who is really frustrated by the way they format the seasons, though? The mid-season breaks always seem to wrap up pretty nicely (like the END of a season should) and the end of the seasons always have big cliffhangers (which I'd expect mid-season). Either way, Season 6, especially the later half, has been really good. xx

MIDI stuff. I have a MIDI keyboard and I'd like to be able to play with it without a laptop. I know I can get a MIDI/USB cable and a USB OTG cable to run the MIDI keyboard into something like Garageband on my phone and get noises out doing that, but if I were to look for a little, standalone MIDI-signal-to-output-noise converter unit with a couple of simple presets, what would I be looking for? xx

Actually, another AGFW went in to one of those completely unsolicited DAMN POLITICAL CORRECTNESS rants the other day. His example of political correctness gone mad was being asked to use gender-neutral pronouns when talking about/to someone transgender or where he wasn't sure of what their preferred gender pronouns might be. xx

My AGFWs are just kinda racist. There are a few foreign lads in the office, Spaniard, Portuguese, Russian and Polish among them. The Russian and the Pole were talking about how to pronounce Nigeria. It just devolved into the two of them saying the n-word with various inflections and laughing hysterically about it. RGFW. xx

Yeah, I'm sure the culture of misogyny and homophobia in male-dominated sports is actually just a series of isolated incidents, or catholic beliefs. Can't possibly be indicative of a deeper, societal issue where violent sports are the epitome of toxic masculinity a culture where femininity is seen as weak. My bad. xx
