Yeah, I'm not too sure how they do it, but it's essentially been done exactly the way I had in mind, so I'm delighted about that. I can't really recommend MJT highly enough, they've been great to deal with, start to finish, and really listened to what I was after. Also, when it arrives, I'll have that shell pink Strat body to sell if you're still interested?

My Strat body is ready to ship, and from the most recent picture I've been sent, it's fair to say, I'm dead excited about it!

I hate the bass on principle. It's cut left handed but the bass isn't available lefty, neither are the current crop of Jag and Mustang basses. Cheers Fender, you suck.

I just got this bass from a guy I work with. I think I'm in love with it, the neck is probably the best I've played and the body's super light. Love the binding on it. It's a Shergold Marathon. Checked the serial number and it dates to 1980. Delighted!

Pic of the Strat body I'm currently having made for me. It's just come out of the clear coats stage. It'll be getting a bit of wear next and then a nice nitrocellulose finish. I'm excited!

Anyone know what happened to Chao Phraya? Was there just over a week ago, and now they appear to have closed. Not on justeay anymore and phone is disconnected :-(

Some good stuff posted in here so far. I still get upset every time I look at the picture of the Sudanese child and the vulture. I think what I find so very affecting about the picture Ewan posted is that it so starkly shows the incredibly harsh, cold reality of the commercialism of the food industry, and without being some super stylised over-the-top PETA type image. Living beings as resources and units.

Yeah, it's got a really cool design on it, they're all handmade so the designs are all slightly different. The oscillator fuzz sounds great!

z It's a fairly crazy fuzz. A bit like a Fuzz Factory, but more musical. It's capable of some crazy self-oscillation which can (sort of) be controlled by moving the volume knob on the guitar. I don't think I'm nearly using it to its full potential yet but enjoying what it does thus far! Biyang make really good pedals for being so inexpensive, I bought this delay second hand off Joe. I'm hoping to fill some of the space with a Whammy, and maybe a tape echo or looper of some description. Mad love for the Sovtek a few posts back. Good lord.

Oh, I don't feel the least bit sorry for the credit companies, although I didnt have to pay any interest, just a one-off settlement fee, which was negligible. The interest had I not paid it off in time would have been insane though and I'd have essentially ended up paying for it twice over. My guilt was more taking on more debt when I already have some whilst trying to save for a deposit for a flat. I just can't resist shiny loud things though.

I finally paid off the credit on my bass. Ace-ic- I own a lovely instrument and no longer feel the least bit guilty about it!
