I had fun at this event I did, helped by the bottle of wine I had beforehand. Didnt notice any problems with sound for Matricarians my view was blocked and was staring at some guys shoulders, enjoyed it nonetheless, felt like I should have been reading a book as I tend to listen to your racket as I read in bed. Well done to Seas Starry, thought the set was pretty good, and showed loads of potential. My main point is that I felt the songs shouldve carried on alot more ,especially the second one you played (which was my fav btw), thought you achieved this with your last song, but good first gig guyz.

I tried to find this Claires as Id heard the fable of the massive sandwiches at dirt cheap prices, went into what I thought it was and ended up paying a ridiculous amount, sandwhich was alright though I guess. Working on George St Dublin Daves is just across the road and pretty good, needs to get some new fillings and never go to the small fat girl to make your baguette if you like having any filling in it. how did you go about getting the placement?, as simple as getting in touch with a school? Im looking at applying for my PDGE (biology also) and realise having naff all teaching experience is not that helpful.

Gig was great. Gutted I missed most of RR's due to being a twat, what I saw I liked, although very different from the other times Ive seen them, if anything slightly less of a spectacle than it is with fewer members, enjoyable nonetheless. Mogwai were brilliant, having only seen them once before and in no way a hardcore fan I didnt know half the songs but was grinning through around 95% of the set. It seems so effortless to them. Thought the sound was pretty spot on (I was about 3 rows from the front), agree about the snare drum at the start of the set being a bit loud. I really dont know what some folk expected.

Like alot of people in that scene I used to go by the mantra of "if you aint playing youre paying" when I was doing the more punk/DIY gigs, like lucky says every 3 makes a difference and it used to feel like a kick in nuts when people would take the piss.The worst would be when guys would meet their girlfriends outside and walk in hand in hand with a really guilty look on their faces without even asking beforehand (not accusing you btw, and I wouldve said yes if they had asked). We often did on occasions let people who were skint etc and had asked before hand in for a reduced fee if not free. These days im a bit more open to it, maybe because the gigs are a bit more financially sound, maybe its the type of music and the attitude towards these things. Ive rambled but the main thing is ask, dont be a dick and say "I'll sneak you in", shit is lame.
