  1. Seriously? One daft cunt has a pop at the manager and the club should take the rap? There's nothing they could have done about it. By all means jail the guy and give him a life ban, but a points deduction would be ludicrously harsh
  2. 0-1 against fucking St. Mirren with barely a shot on goal for the 2nd game in a row. Seriously, just bin the fucking lot and start again. Even the players with some ability are totally unwilling or unable to maintain any consistency, so what's the fucking point? Atrocious.
  3. Really enjoyed those. Love is Blind in particular is a great song, and I love the video. Reminded me of Sledgehammer which can only be a good thing.
  4. Ryan Giggs.....37 fucking years old. Amazing.
  5. Local councils: Reduce litter problems by issuing blind people with pointy sticks.
  6. Pretty sure the Saudis still love a bit of chopping people's heads off with a ceremonial sword.....in public.
  7. "The West" didn't even hang him!! The US captured him and handed him over to the Iraqi Goverment for trial.
  8. Sorry, but your sense of perspective is completely nuts. I, like most others, would prefer to focus on the deaths of hundreds of innocents as a reminder of the true horrors of war....not the death of some barbaric cunt who had it coming.
  9. So the worst thing about the Iraq War was the method used by the Iraqis to execute a horrible, barbaric dictator who murdered his own people in droves? o_O Riiiiiiiight.
  10. Yet another player we didn't get the best out of. The P&J referred to him this morning as Aberdeen's "Talisman". Can only assume that this is entirely based on the home games against Bayern and Copenhagen a couple of seasons back cos match-winning performances have been very few and far between recently. Difficult to get very upset about him leaving. 200k is a bonus though.....I didn't think we were eligible for this either.
  11. Pretty tragic news. An iconic Aberdeen shop, where I've spent a small fortune over the years. If only more people did the same. As mentioned already, Union St will soon be bereft of local businesses which is is a truly shite state of affairs. Best of luck to all the staff. Always found it a friendly place to shop.
  12. Not to mention the fact that North Korea are buddies with China....oh, and Russia is on the border too. Apart from that, it's a great idea.
  13. If Bin Laden had been put on trial, whether deserved or not, it would have been nothing more than a Stalinist show trial......the justice you seek would never have been served. For him to have a "fair" trial, you'd need a neutral venue in a neutral country. What would possess any neutral country to have anything to do with him? It instantly makes them a target. None of us should be gloating over Bin Laden's death, but I really fail to understand why anyone gives a fuck that he's dead.
  14. Not to mention the fact that the cost of keeping him safe in any western prison would be absolutely enormous. If taxpayers are getting rinsed to pay for the protection of the most infamous man on the planet, I could imagine a few people getting a bit cross about that. Somebody mentioned about why there are no photos. Even if there were photos, you'd have the same conspiracy theorists who don't believe he's dead, claiming that they were all photoshopped. You can't win. This isn't the Middle East. We've never really published photos of corpses....especially not with 2 bullets in the head.
  15. Even if that state had absolutely fuck all to do with Bin Laden? How exactly does that work? Also, if you hold him responsible for 9/11, where 3 THOUSAND died, how does putting a fairly elderly guy behind bars for his last few years represent justice being done in any way. It's so disproportionately lenient with respect to his crimes, it's laughable.
  16. Which country should he have stood trial in? The US? Death penalty. Saudi? Death penalty. Pakistan? Death penalty. Afghanistan? Death penalty. He was never, ever, EVER going to be locked up, and shooting him just cuts out the middle man. Right decision. Dreadful bastard. Deserved to die.
  17. PS3 network goes down and 12 million nerds can't play Call of Duty. One of them has obviously lost it. [/sikipedia]
  18. Soooo....he was staying in a multi-million dollar stronghold, built in 2005, surrounded by a 6m wall, a stone's throw away from a Pakistani military training facility. At least this erases any lingering doubts about the Pakistani government's collusion where Bin Laden was concerned.
  19. I'm from Scotland, support Scotland and love Scotland....but I consider myself British, always have. What about any of our English contingent? English or British?
  20. Isn't it likely that any "extra" attention Lennon gets, is purely Old Firm related and comes from Rangers fans who think his Irish background justifies giving him a harder time than most? As a Dons fan, I was never aware of Lennon being vilified any more than e.g. Ricksen....and I seriously doubt that there aren't a dozen other players that across the country, are disliked as much as Lennon was.
  21. It's not in his nature to back down, and that's the problem. He's in a position of real responsibility now, and that sort of in-your-face aggression just isn't appropriate anymore. His attitude stinks. I don't think he was the dirtiest player ever, but I certainly remember him making more than his fair share of "clever" off-the-ball fouls, but his demeanour on the pitch always made you hate him disproportionally. If there was any kind of argy-bargy, he was always the first player to get involved in it. You listed a number of Rangers/Celtic players...the likes of Sutton, Thomson always played the game in a fair enough way and I don't think they would ever attract as much attention as Lennon..indeed, I don't think they ever did as players either really. However, if the likes of Ricksen, Brown, McCulloch ever ended up managing their respective clubs, they'd get pelters the same way Lennon does and for exactly the same reasons.
  22. The reason Lennon is hated universally is because his behaviour as a manager is just as bad as when he was a player. He doesn't seem to act with any responsibility for the role he's in....he's aggressive, confrontational, just a downright cunt. The fact he only retired a few years ago makes Lennon more of a target because all fans, young and old, remember just what an odious little bastard he was as a player. Obviously none of that justifies bombs/bullets etc being sent in the post which is just a horrific, chicken-shit piece of terrorism. Lennon walked from International football after threats significantly less serious than this. If he decides to continue at Celtic after this, then despite my dislike for the guy, he deserves some respect. Can't be easy going to work knowing that some bomb-wielding fucknut wants you dead.
