  1. NEW STUDIO ALBUM THIS YEAR! Updated Monday 1st August, 2005 Arab Strap's sixth studio album, "The Last Romance," will be released in October by Chemikal Underground Records. It has 10 tracks and is 36 minutes long, and will be preceded by a 7" single. More details will be posted soon... From www.arabstrap.co.uk Will be looking forward to this...The Red Thread was a cracker.
  2. I've seen them, used to work with the bassist Craig. Kinda simple poppy major chord melodies with a synthy edge. I haven't seen them for a while though.
  3. Cool Original. The choice and flavour of cretins
  4. Salt and (Malt) Vinegar Maccy C's and Roast Beef and Mustard Brannigans. The saviours of many a dire RGU Union night out....
  5. NARC

    Steve Vai

He played as a session guitarist for PiL too, I believe. Come to think of it, there are some crazy guitar parts on "Ship Arriving Too Late...", never realised some of it could be Vai. Arf!
  6. There's no such thing as bad publicity, as they say....

  8. It's alright, I'm sure there's plenty I don't know about astro-physics....
  9. It's quite informative, so you can learn something from that link.
  10. It's not a quote. However: http://www.bbc.co.uk/history/programmes/ivan/ivanmain.shtml That'll help you with your Standard Grade History...
  11. There is no such thing as a Slow Hands EP. Some of the remixes are alright, actually.
  12. Hopefully not on an "Antics" reissue There is a good link to downloads on the Interpol message board in the media section, I got some decent live recordings, a hideous remix of Untitled and a dodgy recording of some song called "Cutthroat/Cut the Rope".
  13. At least you are taking the criticism without resorting to the stupidity and idiocy of reject_monkey, and to be quite honest, people who are older than you and should know better. So for that you have my respect.
  14. I can easily judge your music, just as I can judge any style of music I please if and when I hear it, just like everyone does. To have a metal fans judging your music is fine as obviously you are catering for an audience, but there are other neutral music fans on this forum willing to give a variety of different things a listen. But if you think you are original, then you are having a laugh. It is hard to be original these days, I am well aware, but you could at least attempt to ditch the 666's, fist pumping, and awful finger tapping, which to be honest render you nothing more than a joke band.
  15. I think that EP has been released over here. You can get all the remixes of the above songs on a cd in One Up and Fopp for 7. Extortionate. PS my mental bet that you'd be the first respondent on this thread has been won *Goes and gets Banana Choco Flakes Crunch Corner as prize*
  16. False, I'm likely to go but it will be for 6/7 cos I'm too damned lazy to get a ticket in advance... TPBM is going to a T on the Fringe event
  17. Antics: Special Edition and Remix EP On August 23rd, Matador US will be releasing a special edition package of Antics. The CD package will come with a bonus disc that includes Song Seven, NARC (Paul Banks remix), Not Even Jail (Daniel Kessler remix), Fog. vs. Mould for the Length of Love (remixed by Sam Fog. and Bob Mould) and Public Pervert (Carlos D. remix.) The special edition will also include Quicktime videos for Slow Hands, Evil and C'mere. Following this release, Matador US will also be releasing a deluxe limited edition EP of the remixes on both vinyl and CD. From www.interpolnyc.com Oh Matador US, why do you tempt me so, with such pointless corporate reissuing?
  18. Can you not steal one while the boss isn't looking? Oh I forgot, you are the boss...
  19. I just happened to be there because I went to see Genevieve - I'm not trying to go out my way to destroy this thread, because I'm well aware there are people out there who will like you, but put simply, if you ever want to make your mark on people apart from your clique of 14 year old friends then you have to grow up out of the prosaic cliched Metallica that you play. I'm not a metal fan, so nothing you will ever compose will connect with me in any way, but this means you are not going to connect with the ordinary gig-goer either.
  20. Anyone hear the new Boy Kill Boy tune on Radio 1 tonight? "Civil Sin" I think it was called. Quite impressed by it actually, although I hope they don't keep sliding ever closer to the Killers...
  21. RRP on POD 2.0 is 149, the Live edition is 399.
