  1. Aberdeen does not need any more rock. The music scene is vomiting up rock music because there is far too much of it going around.
  2. S(he)'s mine. Get those grubby popTart mitts off
  3. You can't argue with British Sea Power and Gang of Four...I'll be in this for two more weeks before I jet off, but my cd and tape will leave a superb legacy...
  4. Aye, I'll be in Exodus, I'll bring Princess Holly's cd too.
  5. Interesting, will provide some competition for the Tunnels in that neck of the woods. Any bands lined up as yet?
  6. She did indeed, aren't we a week behind though? If you were seeing your sister then fair enough
  7. By the way, Neil Ex, you are cordially invited to my leaving party at Exodus a week Saturday. So don't make plans. There will be a feast of NME-played bands for you to enjoy courtesy of DJ DAVE!
  8. Ollie you fuckwit why didn't you come to the cd lunch? You're screwing everything up by your laziness!
  9. It caters for bands that are young, new and breaking through. It's a national publication, it would be a waste of time and money to send reviewers to see unsigned bands.
  10. Aye but what I'm saying is, at your age you should be above being susceptible to the latest craze, just because some journalist writes that it's cool. But if you like it, then fine and dandy. Y'know, if there was a truly dedicated alternative magazine then it would be the same thing as NME in a lot of ways, it would tell you that you should like certain bands, like Pelican or whatever. Obviously, any magazine is going to point you in the direction of bands that they believe in. If you don't like it, then don't buy it!
  11. ...as a result of their fury at an octogenarian gig-spoiler at a recent Tunnels performance...
  12. All this NME criticism is a bit unfounded. I don't buy the publication, however, the whole point of it is to cover the latest news in the pop/indie rock world, review albums and gigs of what's new and hot. It's up to you as a reader to decide whether you agree with what they are writing; I accept that younger teenagers can easily be drawn into the opinions of NME and because it's "cool" to like a band, but who didn't do the same when they were younger? If you can't think for yourself by now then I think you should be worrying about yourself, not what NME is writing...
  13. Hog, and Rainbowprincess, who in a pathetic twist of irony talks about Hog more than herself in order to boost her own credibility
  14. Would people dance to The Killers if they were on at 11.30 say and a decent amount of punters were in the club already? I'd say not, because they are not drunk enough to have the courage to dance. Just an observation, no real point!
  15. Please take note, mother superiors, that on the home page, there are several listed gigs that appear to have been mistakenly repeated by some cretin. I bet it's Dave doing it in a blind fury to infuriate the metallers that have taken him and Chris to task by their zealous thread-movage. Anyways, hear ye!
  16. I'm sorry, you are overlooking the wondrous "Haddock", Mr. Time Machine!
  17. I have the Cold Wind 7" which is a lovely item.
  18. Ashamed of admitting your change of heart in accepting my brilliant repartee?
  19. Yousef seems to have a fixation for photos with other men. Check my gallery and the now departed Stuart Maxwell's for conclusive proof...
  20. Please tell her to tell him I was terminally bored by his relentlessly bad "bog" poems at school.
  21. What do I have to be ashamed of? Fogarino has confessed an appreciation for Ashlee Simpson and her music for pete's sake!
  22. How about this Interpol-related tribute to the Greek Euro 2004 squad? It struck me during a mean 5-3 victory over the Hellas boys with me as Croatia and Leif Erikson the defeated participant: "This one's called Dellas was a diver and he was always down...." "Stelios I love you, Stelios I love you, Stelios I LOVE YOUUUUU....." "He was alright 'cos the defence was so airtight, Greece broke away..." From the album "Turn On the Floodlights" 2002.
