What are you on about? Most people can 'judge' a band they are watching within half a song. Sometimes sets get better/worse as they go on, but erotic fire are a rock band, and song by song isnt going to differ widly.....so even if he watched them for 20 seconds his opinion is valid.

If you read their Myspace biography, you will actually know they are "fast gaining a reputation as one of Aberdeen’s best live bands". All this since their debut gig on christmas eve 2007, we should applaud them for their speedy work, gaining such high profile status within the city in such a short scale of time. Also, their Bebo states "this Aberdeen super group will be topping the charts worldwide in the very near future". Hardly to be sniffed at, even topping the charts in one country is pretty difficult.

We have a had few wee articles, but when we did the Duracell tour, they ran a pretty good spread on the Tunnels show for us, and on a midweek night in middle of August, with a competing gig across town, we had 100 people in, and there was a couple of pilled up neds at the show (who might have been Chantelle's boyf)....i think my point is, the article could have helped, but it certainly didnt hinder the show.

For the sake of a warrenty you will get a far less superior amp. Most people wont sell you a duffed amp, normally they will say it isnt working etc....get a decent second hand amp, then pay for a service and re-tube, it will be fine....i havent had one single problem with my Sovvy, even after it fell on the ground from full stack height.

It worth spending hundreds on an amp if you are looking at keeping it for life, i would say.

Usual outlets for gigs are booked up for a show that Electropapknit are looking to do on Friday 15th of March. Anyone got any good ideas for a venue in Aberdeen? Has to be of reasonable size, because band have BIG backline. Cheers!

I guess even with a reputation, if no one knows, no one goes!

Also not many 'professional' booking agents are booking unknown bands from Aberdeen looking for their first shows out of town.
