which is excessive surely since you can buy a pure all valve head for less than that! I like the principles of digital modelling because it would give me lots of variety but if you're talking money in the four figure bracket i'd be expecting to get an amazing Valve amp for that price!!

they sure are dave - though as with most things there are good and bad ones. you can get everything from compressors and EQ's to software synthesizers.

But if you're talking an all in one, take me to a gig situation then Reason is the Daddy. however since you're talking about "sourced" materials then why not get them all and see what you like?

i need a new monitor - trying to run T-Racks (a mastering plug in) on a 1024x768 screen is impossible. I've tried Fruityloops and to be honest it didn't do anything for me. weirdly i find it more difficult to use than cubase sx2 !!! i found reason very easy to use as well but i don't have a copy to use...the drum machine that's built in is worth the money ( ) on it's own....
