I was generally meaning Aberdeen last season, when they beat Celtic and I think lost to Partick, or someone like that in the next game.

The worst thing about last night was that I wasn't nearly as gutted as I should have been because I was kinda expecting a result like that! Surprisingly Moldova is a harder place to go nowadays as shown by thier result with Italy, to put it simply they were the better team! Still as far as any Scotland fan is concerned that performence was unacceptable, but it just goes to show what standard we are at! We had three semi-decent strikers on at one point, Steven Thompson, Kenny Miller and Stevie Crawford and their were no chances created that I can recall in the second half apart from Colin Cameron's shot. I don't even want to talk about the defence or the midfield, we were never in control. I know there is not alot of talent in Scotland but Berti must take responsibility for seemingly installing a complete lack of spirit and self-confidence. It wasn't a team, it was a mess!

Someone I know got a tatoo on his arm, a naked women holding a Les Paul! He really thinks he's Slash! It's hilarious! Personally I hope I never consider getting a tatoo, not my thing!

I was there with Rippel Boy and we had a mental time, we were of a few folk jumping to 'American English' and I was told off for spilling my pint on some guys back, most of it ended up down my arm though! Very intamite gig and thier new songs are sounding very nice and melodic. This will probably put some people off but I don't give a shit, I'll always love them. Always love it when they play 'When I Argue I see Shapes' and Roddy's hairs grown too!Went for a night out in Falkirk trying desperately to find locals who new where to go, everyone was from either Glasgow(I got called a sheepshagger, unsurpringly!) or Edinburgh, even Newcastle! Met two local girls who were miserable to say the least so we went off on our own and ended up in'RIALTO STOCK', the biggest event in Falkirk which consisted of a semi-decent covers band playing 'Sunshine of your love'. Classic!

People In Planes (formerly Tetra Slendour) are supporting Oceansize next Tuesday at Kef,just found out today and I'm well excited! Only seen them play once at the Lemon Tree ages ago, they were very impresssive and as far as I'm concerned have one of the most under-rated albums in "Splendid Animation'!Yass! Biffy fans take note; they sing backing vocals on 'The kids from kibble and the fist of light'!

There video for 'My Recovery Injection' is a classic!I had to laugh when I saw it!The album as a whole is great, I find it easier to listen to than'The Vertigo of Bliss',not saying that I don't like that record!I think the hidden track is really good, great to hear an honest Scottish accent coming from a band that are influenced by American rock.

I think it's great that the N.M.E ignore Aberdeen, this means that the music scene can thrive in splendid isolation and one day when people realise that Aberdeen is more exciting than Glasgow, when Aberdeen bands that are selling shelves of records and ploughing up and down the country gaining large underground fan-bases they can start a campaign to abolish the N.M.E and lobby parliament to pass a bill that makes shit music press illegal. John Peel will have been living in Aberdeen for the previous five years up until the 'N.M.E is the enemy' act has been passed in say 2050. Well, c'mon we can all dream!

I think many people take it for granted how lucky we are for live music in Aberdeen. I've lived here all my life and and can say its worth staying here because I've enjoyed so many good gigs and its been a good city to grow up in. There is no particular scene in Aberdeen, theres just plenty of things going on if you look hard enough. Exodus is a party every night ,just don't fall asleep if you've danced too much otherwise you will get chucked out.

I have to say that I do own 'Woodface' by Crowded House just cos it reminds me of being a five-year old at the old roller disco! I remember them playing 'weather with you' and 'shiny happy people' by REM!
