  3. 300, not too much. is an epiphone, not a gibbo most people dont like it, but i love it! it plays wonderfully and sounds like a beast. and i like the colour too, maybe jus me , but i love it
  4. thank you for being the only other person i've see hate edinburgh in the same way that i do. fucking awful, manky, horrible sewer-stained joke of a capital city. and don't get me started on the royal fucking mile.
  5. go to devices/plug in information, and press update - if that works, then the VSTs themselves are fine. it scans all the VSTs and checks that they're valid and all that. also, check if you have moved your VST folder at all? silly question i know, but it might confuse the program enough to crash. Should be in a steinberg folder in Program Files (if you're on windows), or in Macintosh HD/Library/Audio/Plugins on mac. another silly question is...you did actually buy the program, yeah? and it isnt a torrent/warez version? no offence meant, just trying to figure out why it keeps packing in.
  6. dead space was my favourite game of last year. fucking love it it's made survival horror good again

  8. RIP MJ, fucking uri geller though, what the hell was that on BBC just now? hell of a shock, like. properly out of nowhere, damn shame too on a slightly more positive note - that was some pretty immense reporting from TMZ.com to get that story an hour and a half before anyone else. It pales in comparison to michael jackson dying, but props where props are most certainly due. how long before we have the "faked his own death" conspiracies?
  9. house is brilliant new season in september, woo
  10. i am so pissed off that Terminator got cancelled
  11. katy perry - hot & cold metro station - shake it
  12. it's one of the guys from Dopamine's other band, i hadnt heard attack attack til now. now i won't listen to them again, this isnae fine like. edit: or is this the american attack attack? edit edit: ah shit, yeah it is the american one. the welsh one lives to be listened to some other time
  13. the singing sounds like my chemical romance at points, lol. sounds a lot clearer/better produced than your last demo, kick drum sounds like someone tapping a pen against a table though. i have no opinion on the music itself, i dont listen to power/battle/dragon metal or whatever its called, but sonically it's a lot more pleasing to hear than previous ascension stuff.
  14. demolition man. fuck yes. away to put on starship troopers
  15. i know your pain. like i'd said, i once worked for the fuckers. awful, awful company to work for. avoid at all costs. Me and a mate i had there called Adam were the only two honest ones there, and apparently we didnt make enough money for them. probably because we didnt try to con anyone. fucking tosspots. if anyone here ever gets "offered" that pc performance service, it's a waste of goddamn time and your money. if you do end up taking it, be sure to get as much crap off of them as possible; ie freebies, discount, etc.
  16. it was disgusting how often that happened. i remember one old couple in wanting to buy a laptop for their granddaughter going to uni, and one of the fuckers tried to sell her a 2k vaio laptop with all the insurance and that, saying it was "mandatory". they were about to leave when i stopped them and asked what was wrong, they explained it to me, and i got them away with exactly what they needed. no insurance, no bollocks, i even gave them some goodies for the hassle. i wasnt popular there, i actually helped people
  17. a few people were a bit desperate to keep the managers happy that way. the retention rate across the country was below 10% if i remember right, and aberdeen was the lowest of the lot, apparently. pretty funny, i thought
  18. pc world. i used to work there. i didnt like how they forced that pc performance insurance bollocks on customers. when i was there i just tended to ignore it...but then the recession opened up a bit, and the company got very paranoid very quickly, and admitted they make fuck all money on most of the laptops, but make about 70 a day off of pc performance, so we had to concentrate on selling that instead of computers in a computer shop. unless we managed to fob off someone with pc performance, it was considered a "poor quality sale". same with them trying to add antivirus/ms office onto deals. we were expected to get pcp added onto at least 60% of our daily sales, and if we didnt sell it, we had to write down a reason why we didnt sell it, because often the managers would try to contact the customer to find out why they didnt want it, to try and pin the blame on the staff, as opposed to the customer realising that they didnt want to pay 15 a month on an overpriced, shitty, pointless service that they'd probably never use. one customer they phoned up apparently told them "it was a fucking scam, and in future i will avoid your bollocks sales patter like the plague". then they started on about their 'tech friends', where you take 80 from a customer and give them a fucking phone number and a stupid rubber toy. explains itself, really. we were expected to sell 5 of them a week. then i got complained at by managers for not selling laptops they made any money on, so i had to concentrate on trying to sell the big name crap as opposed to maybe something that a customer would actually want. naturally, i quit pretty sharpish. fuck that. there wasnt even any commission for that carry on. edit: never ever ever work for any dixons company.
