  1. Hi All, It's the official "Like Be Like Pablo" day today on facebook. There is prizes to be won for those who hit certain secret numbers. Please like and repost a link to the band to keep the love going. Be Like Pablo | Facebook Cheers Jamie
  2. You don't see many of these on the market these days. I'v had it for a few years but it's in great condition, only really used it for practices so it's not been in and out of cars too much in its life. I'v mainly used it for pop and rock type stuff which i'v found it good for. I would imagine it would sound good playing anything with a driven sound as the midshape boost adds quite a bit of definition and or growl. Heres some of the info 300 Watts into 4 ohm, 200 Watts into 8 ohm Output Built in Compressor XLR lineout Tis this model. HIWATT B300HD | DV247 Looking for 170 as i bought it for 350 or so. 3. We have our new double A side single "Spirit of Aventure"/"Oh, Emily! up for streaming/download on bandcamp. It's available both physically and digitally and in lots of different formats. 5. we are playing this year too. saturday 9.15 on the seedlings stage. should be a good laugh. belladrum has a great atmosphere so its well worth going to.
  6. what prices you looking for for the jubiliee head and the 4x10? cheers
  7. enjoying this track. i know a few people that will love it.
  8. i said it before but i'll say it again. this is a cracking single. i think adam has a good voice and most importantly the harmonies work. it would be difficult changing key without effecting everyone's range in some way or form. yup thats about it.
  9. sounds great. might have to buy this and listen to it while fishing tomorrow
  10. should be a good one this. we are also going to be playing a few new songs but alas i cannot divulge any more information at this point
  11. just watched that hop in my car video. popped on the 1911 thing on youtube a few seconds in.
  12. cheers man. i shall keep you posted with any new songs. the do-wop bit sort of went in last minute, it was quite fun though. was a nice way to bring in lots of different harmonies.
  13. Well the album is finished and mastered (2.5 years later). Although we are going to sit on it for a while, see if we can get any label backing to give it a glorious release. Here is one of the last songs we did, it's our reggae/kiss inspired number. Any feedback is appreciated. Someone to Love - MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service We are playing on Saturday with Bearsuit so feel free to come along to that too. ta
  14. vocals have been fixed and the song is sounding excellent. 1 more day of mastering and we will have 10 finished tracks. the two new tracks "someone to love" and "between the lines" are possibly the best thing we've ever done and can't wait for everyone to hear them.
  15. what model/spec/condition is the trace elliot in? i might take that off you
  16. i'd like to add, do not i repeat do not brush your teeth with dog shit. also clothing and footwear is useful as people don't like pasty skin and the lights may reflect off into some poor buggers eye. take your instruments to every gig as you may need to play them to make noises. but most of all, have fun and don't worry.
  17. you should worry about being from "out of town". alot of bands that throws themselves out there will be from out of town 75% of the time. alot of the advice on here is really sound, the band i play in is from forres so we have to travel a long way for most of our gigs. to add to some of the comments i would suggest the following 1. don't be afraid to turn down some gigs - it's not the end of the world missing an offer. You should pick shows that you are comfortable with, can make it on time for soundcheck and generally know it won't end up in drama (although this takes a bit of practice, as most bands know). With time you will get offered more and more shows. 2. keep gigging - the more you gig in different places the more familiar you will get with different customs, people and expectations. 3. talk to the other bands/sound guy before you play - arrange sharing gear if the other bands are up for it. it saves time and builds trust, it's good seeing a band respecting equipment and using it well. as for speaking to the sound guy, one of the best things a band can do is make a tech spec, a sheet of paper or file which illustrates the exact set up a band needs on stage. this seriously saves time, looks professional and leaves a good impression with promoters. 4. concentrate on being good and treat a new crowd/city/town as a blank canvas everytime. first impressions mean everything in this game.
  18. i think my main gripe is that it is over 3 days. you are effectively exposed to the elements from thursday until monday. i don't mind camping for 2 nights but the whole round trip is what knackers me, combine that with insane amounts of walking and drinking (just to get by) and you have a long ass week. i doubt that even ray mears could do it without a post festivle grumble.
  19. i don't really care that biffy have done this. they stopped being good a long time ago and to be fair they produced some good stuff over the space of a decade. i'm happy enough to listen to that old stuff and completely ignore all this x factor crap, in the same way i completely ignored puzzle and that last album. for some reason i can't help but think about bob dylan switching to electric guitar and being spat on by hippy scumbags.
  20. As the title suggests im after a run around car for 500 or less. Preferably with some MOT and tax left. Any suggestions are welcome. Ta
  21. it's unbelievable how much this is happening at the moment. i hope you find the fuckers man. gear should be built with bear traps attached these days
  22. if you get a transaction there i'm totally getting a cut
  23. there should be a disclaimer. first 3 rows will get sweated on. booked and will be looking for some waterproofing straight away
