  1. I feel for you hog dev. The Void are also looking to play fudge soon, but ach, no response yet. We would quite like to play at one before we move to Edinburgh in the not too distant future too! How often does space rock get played at a fudge gig? Hmm????
  2. Hey. The Void are currently gigless for April and we would quite like something arranged for then. If anyone needs a slot filled for April, feel free to contact the space rockers that are The Void. Just PM me Thanks Rory
  3. Hey, we're playing with you, bryn, tonight, assuming your not the band who pulled out... See you there
  4. aslong as we're performing our music its attracting people to their venue and thus they're getting more money from alchahol sales. Why shouldn't we then be paid then? Normally the pay is as small that i'm never motivated to play for the money, but it does'nt bother me at all. i do think its certainly not unfair for bands to get paid and in most cases bands aren't getting paid enough anyway.
  5. Eric Euan were awesome. Totally immense i thought. The EP is great too (fell asleep listening to it last night, and listening to it as i write this) Seriously amazing band, those dudes
  6. oh god im gonna be there! Looking forward to seeing Orwell. Came in just as they had finished last time at Drakes which pissed me off
  7. Come on... there must be some space rockers out there! I think doors open at 8 or seven thirty, though im not 100% sure on that. It's on the calendar though
  8. Anyone listen to these dudes? They are awesome. It's progressive/art rock perhaps. Like Dream Theatre only without the shit songs and shit lyrics. Listen out for them. They really are ace
  9. here's some bits of what feedback we have had "it was the sort of music that there should have been very large comfy couches for, perhaps some joints and definitely sleazy women" "Their sound is a concoction of many varied styles, but with a main theme of 'space rock'. I dont like using other bands as reference, but think Pink Floyd/Hawkwind circa 1971, but with a musical scope far broader than either of the aformentioned bands"
  10. hey. Anyone coming to kef on saturday to see Killer Angels, The Void, Apraxia, and Subsidian? Tickets are 4.50 which is pretty expensive, but it should be a cool night nonetheless. Any reviews on the night would be much appreciated
  11. yeah, the deviadas are ace! It's always great to hear a band that aren't playing the same heavy stuff, and The Deviadas are certainly not doing that. Always good to sit through their set. I envy Matt's Knopfler-esque guitar playing!
  12. Eric euan on the Friday for sure. *cough... the void are playing at kef on Saturday...
  13. "Everyone's searching for something they say, but i get my kicks on the way" - Roger Waters's lyrics from Obscured by Clouds
  14. Not ENTIRELY sure on this one, but as of late my opinion of toms has gone down hill. Although i think it depends on the genre of music, in most cases, exile would probably be the better choice. Having said that, i did have a really good recording experience in toms, but the guy mixing us was a bit inexperienced and didn't offer much help...
  15. Never said it was a joint gig, did I? I did say just think of it as you playing before and us afterwards or something... if i remember correctly We were as shit that night that it should have been us supporting you anyway. My apologies
  16. Hey they're just having fun! Besides, i think they're awesome anyway! Rock on, Pure Lead!
  17. Yeah i was there and enjoyed it. Eric Euan obviously kicked ass. I had never seen them before and i thought they were fucking excellent. Unfortunately the other bands weren't exactly my kind of music. Although I could tell they were ace at what they do - just i don't dig it much (Afterall, i do listen to Pink Floyd and Mark Knopfler... )
  18. Hey. The Void are looking for a gig on either the 9th or 10th of April, so if anyone needs a band PM me and hopefully we can arrange something. Would be very convenient if there is something out there... Rory - The Void 14th March, Malt Mill - The Void + support from Band From U.N.C.L.E
  19. from what i've heard of them now - they're lyrics are pretty cheesy. "The spirit carries on" lol. Should have been in a panto but yeah, i think ill go buy one of their albums, because they have some seriously cool stuff
  20. wow. never really heard much dream theater but just downloaded "Home" and its seriously awesome. Is the rest of the album in similar style?
  21. 1. King Crimson - In the court of the crimson king 2. Wish you were here - Pink Floyd 3. Dire Straits - Communique although its hard to miss out floyd albums like Animals and meddle. Infact, now im not sure about my choices at all!!!! Too many wonderful albums out there. 3 is simply not enough!
  22. words cannot describe how i feel about the floyd
