  1. Yeah cheers for coming! The string snapping really hurt us bad! the guitar i borrwed wasnt in tune either, and i foolishly tried to play it behind my back which didn't work out. lol, trust me, i can do that trick on my own instrument... lol And clive, you probably saw us a long time ago. So try coming again. Thanks for the feedback dudes
  2. My god, just remembered how fantastic this cd is. It's so unbelievably good. It's just so mellow and easy to fall asleep to. Anyone else own/love this album? I seriously can't imagine anyone buying it and being dissapointed with it. Probably the best film score ever written in my opinion
  3. Erm, well The Void use a synth! And we would use a hell of a lot more had we the musical talent. I'd really like that middle eastern instrument that i can't remember the name of, but it is in Tool's "Reflection" and the Blade Runner soundtrack - which is so unbelievably awesome, that i might just have to make another post dedicated to it!
  4. well i dont really care to be honest. I'm sure it can't be a good thing - certainly not in slipknot's case! God they really do suck. I can't be arsed saying anything else shit about them...
  5. Yeah i as also supporting them. I remember smoking loads and loads during their set and not really thinking muich of them. Absolutely nothing different about them. However, yeah, from the brief "hello" we shared with them, i suppose they could pass off as nice...
  6. if any i'd go male, because I don't know much better when it comes to ska Ska ain't bad, it's just i would never find myself enjoying a whole 2 hours of it
  7. Hey. Anyone seen this yet? It's great. Not as good as This Is Spinal Tap, but still, very funny. And "kiss at the end of the rainbow" so should have won the oscar for best original song. I can't believe the 80s monster (annie lennox) won it!
  8. add the Ozric Tentacles to my list - they ROCK!
  9. my top 5 bands at the moment aren't really from the moment an d they aint all bands. Anyway, they are 1. Pink floyd 2. Mark Knopfler 3. King Crimson 4. Tool 5. Steve Hillage also cool are Sigur Ros, Camel, and someone else i cant be bothered remembering who they are right nw
  10. The Void are actually looking for a gig on that date. We'd be happy to do it
  11. yah ive been on the lookout for one of these, so count me in
  12. Much appreciated actually if someone could post a review of this night on the feedback forum. I wouldn't mind an unbiased opinion on our music actually, so anyone going, please post some form of review on the entire evening if you could...
  13. Hes officially the master of progressive rock. I remember once going in there and he was playing what he descrived as "the worst harmonica solo in the world". It was absolutely hillarious. Really awesome guy and Graham - nice music taste
  14. Cafe thing in it too? I wouldnt be surprised if it became aberdeen's first cannibis cafe. lol
  15. yeah i listened to those tracks on their website. I'm really looking forward to seeing this band. Really, really, really mind blowing!!!!!!
  16. oh, yeah the void would love that. We even have a synthesizer for that extra touch of space rock! (A SYNTHESIZER) Check us out at drakes on Friday if you like - Turning 13 pulled out of their audiodropout slot at drakes and we're replacing them, hehe. (Thanks guys)
  17. a friend was nagging at me to buy that album, at which point i reminded him that i have every Mark Knopfler and Pink Floyd album ever to be released... (Although i wouldn't mind hearing the song he does with Lemmy, but that's only because of the Hawkwind link)
  18. haha, so everyone stops posting. he he But to be honest, i think a license is required to start a pink floyd tribute band. Because they are probably the hardest band on the planet to re-create. Get it totally right, or don't do it at all is my theory i guess. The Floyd are too powerful for any mortal (let alone an Aberdeen-based mortal!).
  19. Yeah iwas there with dusty deviada at the last gig. Hehe, and i realy enjoyed it. Those guys rock "Hold You Back" is an excellent song with a really kick ass riff!!!
  20. We've recorded a couple of our not so good songs for some reason, while we're actually gonna record some of our best songs this saturday, one of which clocks 10 minutes! hehe.
  21. yeah this album is FUCKING FANTASTIC, i must say. If your into your middle of the age space rock style floyd, i.e. darkside, meddle, and wish you were here, then you should check out my band the Void. hehe. We take a lot of influence from that period of floyd.
  22. No way Hey dude, the syd barret stuff is probably their greatest period. Astronomy Domine is probably one of my favourite floyd songs, and barret's song Dominoes is also absolutely amazing.
  23. A Pink Floyd tribute? That's quite a task to undertake
