  1. crap I have a gig this night! fuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuck
  2. at first glance I read that as one man's ambient dreamy lof-fi good looks. HA! mmmm Philipo! You and your just got outta bed but damn I'm handsome, ambient sexyness.
  3. HA! That Unicorn t-shirt is actually a 30 urban outfitter job... craaazy!
  4. Greater The Shadow were immense! As was Kathryn Sawers and Kitchen Cynics. I would also recommend catching Duke. They are the most talented young kids that have a sound thats so mature you'd think they'd taken 20 years to get there. Thank you to all who came and to those who played.
  5. 1pm - DUKE 1:45 - ASHLEY PARK 2pm - QUINTET SAMBROSO 3:30 - KITCHEN CYNICS 4:30 - CRASHDOWN 5-6 - BREAK 6pm - KATHRYN SAWERS 7pm - MARK McCABE & THE TEA ROOM POSSE 8pm - KATERWAUL 9pm - GREATER THE SHADOW Hopefully an early enough finish for those who need to get buses or wanna fuck shit up on the town.
  6. I thought jet packs were good. They're only young and I think they'll get better and better still.
  7. Has anyone mentioned this is entirely free?? Well I have now.
  8. Poke, unamplified and completely acoustic to a packed moshulu crowd... fucking priceless! I got my hole.
  9. I hear a rumor that Mark McCabe and the tea room posse are the local support.
  10. Hot Dang! Not seen Vesuvian yet... nice. Debutant and Kitchen Cynics are always a pleasure.
  11. Believe it or not but we actually played on the same bill as 5:15 in dec. At Moshulu supporting DRIVEBLIND. It was an odd line up but it was a family thing. Our old drummer was playing for them at the time so I'm fully aware of their sound. I'm just under the thinking that they were Indie. Just because of the Stone Roses, The Verve, Ocean Colourscene inspired guitar riffs accompanied by the vintage 70s organ that seem to hint at Kula Shaker or The Charlatans. Along with the Shed Seven toe tapping that you seem to find yourself helplessly doing when watching them. I just don't think the stereo typical vision ROCK makes you do this. But if this year the fudge boys are doing away with the Best Indie category then I suppose they would fit. But however so would all the other bands from the categories so far. And yeah I maybe exaggerated a little but. Kashmir Red remain the only band I have ever walked out of. I walked out half way through the set and returned to the gig 40mins later when it was safe to say they were finished. I'm sorry.
  12. Ha Ha! Didn't realise my post would be so controversial. I stand by my statement because I feel its true. But then its just my personal opinion and not stated fact. As is your opinion about my band. I wouldn't be in a band if I couldn't handle the prospect of someone actuallyt NOT liking the music I help write. I don't like Franz Ferdinand but they're prob the country's biggest band. I don't really like the Foo Fighters but they're prob one of the WORLD's biggest bands. But that's my personal opinion. As is my choice to vote for ERIC EUAN who I see as the city's best Rock act. I don't see Fivefiteen as a rock band, more of an Indy band. And I know that Indy is a type of rock but why would there be a seperate Indy Award if there wasn't a difference. "In the presence of absence" - sorry that's my bad. English Isn't my first language.
  13. Ok so Deadloss have probably won as they do all the time... why I've no idea ha ha. Fivefifteen aren't rock and Kashmir Red are the worst band I've seen in all my life and probably previous lives also so Its Eric Euan All the way baby!!
  14. NO WAY!!!! That sucks because they seemed so into it at drummonds. They seemed like total troopers, having so much faith in their abilities and songs to stand out without their vocalist. Seems a bit of a shame that they're calling a day. Out of the blue and everything.
  15. Myspace doesn't give you the best idea of them. Toy have to been seen to be believed. Seriously!
  16. I couldn't stay for Blakfish but St Louis were fuckin ace! The songs worked really well as instrumentals I thought. And the off mic Shouting/Singing from the band worked really well. Secta Rouge were also worth a mention. The varied styles of singing were amazing. The growling to the screaming to the Incubus meets System constant pouring of lyrics was immense. And not to mention that two part finger tapping guitar harmony. It was like watching Dream theater at times. Great gig but poorly attended for a band like Meet Me In St. Louis. Hopefully it won't put them off coming back again. Hopefully they will have sorted their singer problem by then.
  17. You're Darn tootin we are and Looking forward to seeing St. Louis... and for free! Hot DAMN!
  18. The set closer will be on the new CD I promise.
  19. Thanks, hopefully the book looks nice too as well as smelly good.
  20. !!!!!!!!!! The dancin was ALL for you Dave. You inspired every move. All the best for the future. You know I'm a huge Sad fan so I'll be there for your last hoo-rrah!
  21. My favourite song by a Local band would have to be 'Orchard' by The Welfare Mothers. However I think they've been playin it for a wee while. Best Live band for me is hard but I think Kartta win it by a whisker. Not often I can shoe gaze then dance my little flabby tits off in the same set. Best new band. hmmmm....... would Fault And Fracture count? They only did one show last year and have only really established themselves recently?
  22. Thank you very much. 7/10 is an awesome score. When we recorded the Album it was all live recordings so editing stuff down would have been hard. But we totally understand what you're saying about the repetitive nature of the songs. Believe me it is something we are working on. How to still keep the music progressive with build up without boring people to death with its repetitiveness. I'm sure a lot of post-rock bands have this problem. Keep the constructive criticism coming it much valued. We're gonna start recording again within the next few months so its good to hear what you think we can improve on.
  23. oh good! I thought everythingwesayisfact pulled out and I was rather looking forward to seeing them.... and now I can HAZZAH!
  24. Awww shucks! You guys are too kind. Thanks very much.
