  1. Nick punched up a couple of hookers before trashing the hotel room. You know how rock he is. It was the most tragic of gigs I tell you! I heard the barman shout as we left the Balcony Bar "You'll never work in this town again... d'ya hear!" Popolo were awesome though!
  2. And what an awesome nerve wracking show that was! One of the best in Katerwaul history I thought. Thanks again Sam. We've made a few contacts through that night so it was very useful indeed. I highly recommend!
  3. I'm afraid I can't get the night off work. I only work one evening shift a week and you had to pick that one night didn't you! You insensitive bastard! What about my needs huh? Did you ever stop to think what this is doing to me?! Any way when you next up? Don't ask when we're next in dundee because I don't think we're very welcome there after last time. You going it solo again like you said? The myspace shit sounds amazing well annoyed I wont make it.
  4. i meant 1cm! honest to god
  5. I was gonna buy a 72 reissue but it didn't have the 22nd fret. That 10cm piece of wood is a vital note in a few Katerwaul songs. If I'd bought one it would have been rendered useless. If you go with a tailor made one he can make it Fender quality but to your specifications. Fender are quite limited on colours when it comes to these guitars too. So I guess its just a question of what suits you. If you were just to get him to make a 72 reissue for you the way fender sell it then there would be no point. Just over a week till mine is finished, I'll let you know how she is/how close to fender it actually is.
  6. yeah that's the one. Got the first pics of the body through yesterday, its got a dry mahogany finish on it with a black pickguard waiting to be stuck on and that all important 22nd fret, which was the reason I got this guy to do it. Fender 72 custom deluxes don't have 22 frets either which was my first choice. You'll also find that a neck can sometimes cost as much as the guitar. To replace the neck on my squire was gonna cost me 140 for unbranded and a cool 160 for a squier. And apparently according to the boys at R&B i'd have to send pics of the serial number to fender then wait a couple of months while they check the neck is going on a genuine fender model. AND ALL BECAUSE OF 1 FRET!!! Sheesh life was simpler back in my metal days of using 24fret BC Riches!
  7. http://www.nscustom.co.uk Don't be put off by the pointy guitars on the home page. This guy is making me a custom 72 thinline tele for only 500. At the moment I'm using a Squire Custom II. Its great, best guitar I've ever had... until the fret wear has started to make the top end sound like a freakin' sitar after only two and a half years! Sam's is the P90 version but is still goin strong.
  8. If CDs aren't your thing and you don't care about the artwork you can download it from our myspace. Katerwaul on MySpace Music - Free Streaming MP3s, Pictures & Music Downloads
  9. catalyst+of+everything+cover.jpg (image) Here is the artwork for all those who judge books by their covers.
  10. "Catalyst Of Everything" is now available for free in 1-up. Its a free Promo CD for everybody just to generate some interest etc. The new album will be out in a few months or so. Cheers Tim
  11. And thanks very much to you Sam! We've been finding it hard for people to even give us the time of day in glasgow let alone take time to listen to us or even reply to emails and mail shots. Or maybe we're just THAT shit. Anyway thanks for giving us our first Glasgow gig!
  12. All gone. And Kilau is open till 11pm every night apart from holidays and exhibition change overs. Thanks to everry one who bought a copy and hope it helped bring you a joyous christmas and new year
  13. I'm afraid not. After they played "The Orchard" he said that that song was on a previous Kilau CD that never was. Fucking noisy bastards! For once there's a late night gig on that they can attend and they talk all over it. Why I owtta!
  14. That was the most perfect atmosphere. I've never felt anything like it. If we'd had more time and opertunity to advertise and get the place packed out, then some how convince everyone to buy something, then we could really be onto something there. Kilau and anyone who sail in her will miss everything John Hek related. What a true gent. And Katerwaul are deffinately up for a Dutch adventure.
  15. Everything is sorted for the gig. It all kicks off at 8pm the stage is gonna look very pretty indeed. This'll be a good chance to establish Kilau as a music venue. If all goes well then more full band gigs can be done at kilau giving people under 18 a chance to see bands. So its free entry, Friday 8pm kick off all ages welcome!
  16. you want to stand and laugh from afar as it falls flat on its face. Not discussed how we're gonna work it. The shop was gonna close for the night and have it as a word of mouth kinda affair but if there's money to be made... then why not.
  17. Oops sorry this is the first time I've ever tried to post an image, apologies.
  18. As a farewell send off to their dear friend John Hekert (long story short, he's leaving). Kilau are putting on a one off gig to say thank you and good bye to one of their favorite customers. We're really looking forward to playing with John and this gig looks to be a good one in such an intimate space. <a href="http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=viewImage&friendID=51785469&albumID=412450&imageID=45967700"><img src="http://hotlink.myspacecdn.com/images02/14/544e0dc8e0e946fc9e8d2900c2d44220/m.jpg" alt="" /></a>

  20. WooHoo! You're a beautiful man quirie like mmmmmmmmmarmalde and butter smeared on a toasted multi seed bread.
  21. We could always re create the gig. But with a bigger turn out:up:
  22. ha ha we have that! chicken breast pesto and mozzarella perhaps?? We now have reggae reggae sauce too.
  23. I don't know why not. The bassist is married to one of them too. But i remember hearing that the 2 bands had gone separate ways, but would still record.
  24. Ha Ha second Scrabble board. If we really like you you can even borrow the other 2 scrabble boards up the back that are reserved for friends and family. AND if you come in often enough and we learn your name you get 10% discount and the odd free coffee. Just ask Alan Cynic and Big Bouma.
