  1. We now have three Album tracks on our myspace for all those window shoppers out there. Katerwaul on MySpace Music - Free Streaming MP3s, Pictures & Music Downloads
  2. That was such a good night! Me and the guys went back to Adam's spare flat (don't ask lucky bastard) and got hammered on Morgans. Got home at 5am and phoned the girlfriend. But I much enjoyed the chat!
  3. A pound for every Neil Young cover last night at Drummonds. Amazing!
  4. It was a Fender Twin. 1500 of the most amazing clean tone in the world. Its drive channel is nice, not the best though. But Using my Metal Muff through its clean channel gives me goosebumps! This guy ripped off the front grill/mesh managed to rip the left speaker, rip off half the material and covered up the "twin" logo and wrote "WAR" on it in a fender font. But by fuck it still sounded amazing!
  5. After a successful secretive launch we've unleashed our Debut album upon the world. You can buy it from 1-up or Avalanche records in Glasgow. We've also already sold out of our limited edition versions that came with a hand screen printed envelope and a live recording of a stripped down set we did in Kilau way back in September. We'd like to thank all of those that came along to our launch and to those who splashed out on the CD. Thank you very much to Ashley Park and to Y Change costume who played amazing alternative sets. Let us know what you think of the album even if you totally hate it.
  6. I may have got htose band names mixed up judging by the poster. HA!
  7. That gig was fucking Postal! (I'm trying out a phrase in a new context still an experiment) Soothsayer were jolly, need to fine tune their craft but after 3 practices that was pretty sublime. Hen Night were the tits! Genre defying greatness. It broke my heart a little that he had my all time saught after dream amp and ripped it apart and called it the War Machine though. Codes were their usual great selves2 and we really enjoyed our set. The heat and the crowd was mental. Thanks again Sam!
  8. Thank you to every one for coming the other night. I'm just back from the Glasgow leg of their tour. Played 13th note and it was amazing! I don't think anyone can judge a band for the way they play their instruments on stage. Although they can be likened to EITS I think they do make things their own. EITS have a lot of up beat driving tunes that Codes don't even begin to try and do. I particularly love the way they stray into vast space with just the two guitars playing really softly. A trait not many aspiring post rock bands have. The guys were very grateful for the turn out and had a lovely time even though I was made to take them to Exodus. And thanks for the kind words about Katerwaul. We've been on the down low recently finishing the Album. But now its out we're back in action and ready for danger ( Ry Walker )
  9. Sorted out a projector for them today! This night is gonna be amazing!
  10. *bump* there is a very good article in Rock Sound about Codes In The Clouds. This is gonna be pretty special.
  11. Aye they are that indeed Jarvisaur! They've just requested a projector so there should be some awesome visuals also! Who you callin a liver cynic?! Loose is fine by me though.
  12. Yeah I agree those INAME boys are nothing to look at arf arf! I hear on the grape vine she wasn't playing and her mic was just for show. Xcerts owned that gig. The sound guys knew the venue better and got a great sound from it. You could hear and feel every little nuance of Murray's vocal. I couldn't even tell if Som was singing.
  13. I too were let down. 8 years ago they blew me away the other night they seemed past their prime. From the front the sound was rubbish. Amps were up far too loud on stage. But thats what you get when you sacrifice sound for a clear view.
  14. Cinematic post-rock pop quintet CODES IN THE CLOUDS released their debut album PAPER CANYON on May 18 via Erased Tapes and are coming round for tea and biscuits, ao while they're here they're gonna headline a show just for you in the TUNNELS on the 22nd JUNE. Codes In The Clouds on MySpace Music - Free Streaming MP3s, Pictures & Music Downloads Rock Sound, one of Britain's leading magazines for rock music, counts Codes In The Clouds amongst the new discoveries of the past year and have hailed them as Ones to Watch in 2009. The birth of this formation didnt remain unnoticed in the US for long either. Online magazine The Silent Ballet crowned CITC the new pioneers of instrumental rock: 'I'm running out of excuses to explain rather lackluster releases from recent powerhouses as Mono, Explosions In The Sky and Do Make Say Think. If they weren't already wrapped up in their own music, they'd probably know better. Codes In The Clouds does. Support will rather cheekily come from KATERWAUL and Kitchen Cynics Side project MATRICARIANS. 15. Man that'd be awesome but thats the Katerwaul album launch night so I won't be able to make it.
  16. Glasgow may have caved in possibly but I've got them. I've been in touch with venues and I'll see which is most cost effective.
  17. I've been in touch gonna "sort em out". Hopefully have help from Warden. Fuckin love codes in the clouds!
  18. Awww man I love Codes In The Clouds! Ermm... dunno what help I could be though?
  19. Now you tell me! I jacked it in to hit the big time a week ago. Trust me I had no intention to.
  20. Drouthy's is cool. Never got to see a gig there but I was in quite often when I did my masters at the art school. Its the people that attended the balcony bar gig that mainly contribute to our lack of enthusiasm of coming back. That and we were pretty shit that night along with the heckles and the boos and the scathing online critique. So I had most of my back facing the crowd, wanna fight about it? On a seriuos note, we've played a few times and never gone down well. Maybe Dundee just aint ready to see an asian on stage?
  21. Hey we really enjoyed The Mill gig! T'was nice and intimate. If it wasn't pissing down with rain we probably would have had more people there that night. But you're right the other CD launch at the Tunnels was the tits! Still fucking miss you ugly bastards. I'm stickin on the Two Bear riff right now for some cock in hand nostaglia!
