  1. I like long term games, started at Cambridge took them to Premier League title and Champions League final which I lost to Real madrid then added loads of European Leagues and ended up at P Ferriera before getting the Bayern job, longest I ever player was into the late 2040's!
  2. I'm in 2027 so he is nowhere to be seen!
  3. I hope Wigan stay up, Martinez comes across as a good guy and I am always for a small team punching above their weight. Listening to the thrills and spills of Hayes & Yeading United v Cambridge United, 0-0 going into injury time if anyone is interested which I know they are not!
  4. After all these years my favourite Aberdeen band would always be Real Shocks, I remember getting from Mark three singles from Lithium Records in late 2001 - The Needles, Josephine and Real Shocks and the latter just blew me away. A very close second would be Maple but there were many a fine band in the granite city during my time there, Electric Tibet deffo deserve a mention so much potential! Should dig all me old demos out the box room and give them a spin!
  5. Saturday night after a long week at work, loads of red wine and pringles in at HQ, some DVD's to watch after listening to Cambridge United commentary and shall spend the evening playing Bayern Munich on FM12, on the mid winter break now, still got 20 million to spend but shall spend that at the end of the season on promising youngster, a load of dead wood moaning 30 somethings will be leaving when their contracts expire end of the season! Got Ajax in the champions league 1st Knockout round. Anyone else ever played in Mexico? It's a great little league and you can build brilliant sides of great youngsters, does suffer from the South American problem of players wanting to move to Europe ASAP.
  6. a good start to my tenure at Bayern, three thumping wins out of three including dicking Monaco to get out my champions league group. As I predicted I would have to spend silly money on a player. Not a single fucking right midfielder, found two promising kids in the youth team both of whom have been promoted to the first team but on looking about the only decent option right midfielder wise is a 29 year old Czech Republic international and I have signed him for a cool 34 million quid from West Ham, dunno how the fans will react as the window doesn't open for a couple of weeks. Got quite a lot of ageing overpaid players, thankfully a lot of their contracts run out at the end of the season. The rest of my budget is going on promising youngsters and will be more prudent with my spending but a right midfielder was a must so had to pay over the odds for one, this fucker better be good!!!
  7. Good to see others appreciate their worth, so irritating people think they just did the one song. New album the brilliantly titled 'Urban Turban' is out in May.
  8. ooh yes one of the best bands kicking around Aberdeen when I lived there, great don't give a fuck attitude as well!
  9. ooh there is nothing worse than an appalling run, I only had the one on this game where I took Cambridge from a position of relative safety, went 14 or so games without a win and only escaped relegation by the skin of me teeth!
  10. the system I been using has worked for the two smaller clubs I played on this game, confident I can rip up the league and champions league as well, might take a bit of time but the plan is to dominate!!!!
  11. oh well my season has disintegrated into nothingness so tonight's match at relegation threatened Lincoln City holds little meaning for us but will listen in to the commentary anyways. Reckon that title is on its way to Fergie's chaps yet again after last night, enough is enough let someone else have a crack!
  12. I have from a reliable source that Pulis is a complete dick in real life! Do love watching that Crouch goal against Man Shitty though... Anyways love the thrill of taking over at a new club and sorting the backroom staff out and getting shot of the dead wood. First club where there is pressure on to succeed as well. Also looking forward to attempting to spend 63 million in transfer window, no doubt I'll pay a stupid price for a player, I always do. No wonder I went bankrupt in real life a few years ago lol!
  13. fucking yes at last been head hunted... by none other than Bayern Munich, 63 million to spend in the transfer window which opens in a month, still in champs league as well but 6th in the league 9 points behind leaders Schalke. Looking forward to the challenge!
  14. another shitty european campaign really pissing me off now every season the same, not one win and bottom of the group after 5 games
  15. that was a great read but how does one 'take care of' Tony Pulis lol
  16. Ha 3-1 down to Man City in Champions League and came back to draw 3-3, no chance of getting through though, am battling it out with Anderlecht for the Europa League spot!
  17. thing is though Fergie has injected the winning the title mentally into Man Utd and that sure is going a long way to helping them over the line, Mancini was spouting how Utd will falter but the way things are going he is gonna end up with loads of egg on his face. City's results recently have simply not been good enough. With the money they have and have spent they should be walking the league! Once Fergie either dies or retires I do reckon Man Utd will be in a bit of pickle mind....
  18. good post Captain and I agree, the recent form of Liverpool is beyond pathetic yet no-one seems to be calling for his head, actually its embarrassing watching them lose game after game and then the dour Scot mumbles out a plethora of usual ridiculous excuses. With the money he's spent they should be at least pushing top four not hurtling towards mid table. Ok they won the Carling Cup but they had a pretty easy passage to the final bar the semi against City where they did play very well but even in the final they were taken all the way by a championship side yet he seems to get away with it because of things achieved over 20 years ago.
  19. taxi for Dalglish! surely he is on borrowed time now???
  20. Humped 5-3, three shit performances on the trot, can someone give me some teacups I appear to be running out!
  21. nice solid start to the new season five wins and a draw from first six games, as for champions league got drawn against juventus, man city and anderlecht. decent start drawing away at anderlecht first game but was just outclassed at home by juve, the 2-1 score was most flattering for me they had 30 shots to my 6. now about to play Porto at home....
  22. Bad news about Petrov, one of the games good guys and a fantastic professional, saw the applause on MOTD and it left a lump in me throat. Man City are imploding but I think Blackburn might get something against Man U Monday night but if Sir Alex's chaps win I reckon the title race is almost over. Much better performance from Cambridge United yesterday against 2nd in the league Wrexham who we made look very ordinary, shame we were scuppered by a 95th undeserved equalizer but being stuck safely in mid table its not like we're desperate for the points. So nice to see us passing the ball around crisply and creating numerous chances, shame we couldnt get the deserved insurance of that vital 2nd goal. Also to cap a good day I briefly met United manager Jez George and he's a top bloke!
  23. finally able to sit down and get cracking on defending my title in Portugal, no urgency to sign players pretty happy with the squad, some dead wood contracts ran out so will just get me scouts working overtime looking for frees and cheapo signings as only just over a million in the bank... will shore up the squad with the usual few loan players from the bigger sides in Portugal and Brazil!
  24. yeah I agree about Bilbao and any team who make Man Utd look ordinary have gotta be alright in my book!
  25. I remember on an old version of FM I signed a 36 year old Wayne Rooney for Cambridge and he had a great impact! Transfer budget for the new season 1.5 million, don't think I'll be pulling up too many trees in the champions league!!! Pretty happy with the squad in any case, keep asking the board to improve my youth facilities as hardly any players have come through my shitty youth season but they preferred to spunk cash on a 27,000 all seater stadium when I get average crowds of 7,000 nice one you twerps, not even managed to fill the bloody thing yet, got 22,000 for a match against Benfica and the bloody loan repayments are a noose around the clubs neck!
