i like the idea of a politics forum but i think like most political ideals the idea is better than the reality. the only advantage is that it might prevent people hijacking well meaning threads to stir some shit up. but neil's reasons for not having one seem fair.

i agree, it's a pain in the arse particularly when accessing with your mobile. some peoples posts are truncated and you click on it only to find out it's their signature which has taken up all the space.

credit to the 12 odd people who showed up but fucking hell, everyone who wasn't there missed possibly the most ass kicking rock band of the year. G.U. Medicine fucking ruled. don't take anything away from the other bands but they fucked all you muthafucka's. low down dirty riffs the way it should be played, holding your les paul up to the crowd and screaming the vocal's down the mic. words cannot describe how ass kicking these guys were. album's out in may, please for the love of god check them out.

do the demo's need to be studio one's or will live recording's suffice? just that we haven't managed to record any studio stuff yet.

i remember that tar gig when al nero demanded a waltz for the duration of their set then they finally gave in. an eric euan gig where campbell stripped(no surprise there mind). hookers green destroying the kit and small enclosed area looking on in shock as they had to go on after them and try and use the kit. and many many fine cocktails mixed by the evil genius of dave dixon.

you can dance in drakes, it's just people are too hung up about what other folks think to dance in a small place where folks can see them. we play similar things but kinda less poppy. i'll give a rough run down of what we play. kyuss, black flag, janes addiciton, electric wizard, neurosis, billy mahonie, company flow, mars volta, pig destroyer, deus, clutch, gonga, mistress, !!!, macrocosmica, fugazi, rites of spring, minor threat, eyehategod, will haven, aphex twin, darkthrone, mastadon, slint, saccharine trust, rollins band, misfits, and so on and so on. nothings set in stone, it depends on what crowd is in. that is but a fraction of the kind of stuff we play, but i've only just got up and can't remember half of it.
