The new Smirnoff and Bacardi adverts are pretty cool. The Smirnoff one has a guy and a girl in a car with him taking off his wedding ring and saying "I know you had an affair with Dylan. I don't love you." Then it plays again with frames spliced out and he takes off his ring and says "I had an affair. I don't love you." Then again and he simply says "I love you." It's wicked hot. And the one with all the people moving around that says "Make Less Strangers". I love adverts more than actual shows.

When I first moved into my new house I got loads of calls for "Miss Ho" which I thought was a joke but eventually they've stopped. I find the best thing to do is say "No I'm afraid that person doesn't live here anymore, please delete their details from your records". It actually works. Well, it did for me. When we were kids we kept a whistle by the phone for telemarketers. And I know it's not their fault. But it was still funny.

Under what circumstances? I once promised to make porn for someone while I was pissed and they were recording the phonecall and then played it back to me as some sort of "deal". I doubt I could take them to court for that.

I can't wait!! I've had a ticket taunting me for AGES.

Oh man! I'd forgotten all about SARS! Those were the good old days when everytime someone coughed they has SARS. Duh.

Yes I'm aware of that, and I know that as of yet, nobody is receiving innoculations for bird flu but people with a regular flu jab will be immunised in ways that people without aren't, and will hold some immunity against certain strains of the virus.

Is it? I don't think I've ever had to use it. Incidentaly, my Daddy was made redundant and has nothing to do with them now. But boy they had nice offices and fancy chairs that I would spin for hours in as a wee one.

Yeah I get that impression too. It's nice work and everything, but I'm sure there's far more unique and orignal work out there. I went to a few University Graduate Exhibitions in London in the summer and I was just amazed by the standard of work. In comparison, her work just fails to register. But who am I to talk? It's not like I can paint or draw or do anything artistic at all.

That link about the digital editing is ace! But it states the song as being "Picture Book" by Ray Davis and the Kinks. Either way, it's awesome.

Jim Lambie's work looks like it would make me fall over the instant I got anywhere near it. Gillian Carnegie's is nothing special if you ask me. Perhaps because it's so Autumnal and with the shortening of the days I crave something bright and fantastic to stop me from wanting to hibernate.

I'm not majorly worried about it but I think it is a concern. Yeah the media are going on about it a lot at the moment, but if it just arrived and nobody had been warned everyone would suddenly be all "Why weren't we warned?" and what not. Right now, I'm more worried about being beaten to death in the street than I am about bird flu. And I get a regular flu jab anyway so I should be ok.

Nearest one is just outside Edinburgh. Why the fuck they don't open one up here, I've no idea!

I know there's a bus that goes but I think it's about 15 for a ticket and I'd rather not get the bus with a bunch of people who are "OMG EXCITED!!!" about all the cheap furniture. If you could get the number for me that would be absolutely marvelous Matt. What a clever idea, that guy is a hero!

Apart from lemonade (with vodka in it) I only ever drink water and fruit juice these days. It's so much cheaper and I find that whenever I do end up drinking fizzy drinks, I feel like my whole body is sticky inside. Very odd.
