  1. it's very funny. www.letskilltheothers.org still works. but links are fucked. the link to their 'new' website (.tk one) takes you to a very informative page on wikipedia.
  2. i guess all you need to do is choose the prints you want and email him andrew@andrewkendall.com
  3. he lives just down the road from me. does that make me Almost Officially Cool? he's managed to raise over 3,000 already from sales of the prints.
  4. major woo. the young knives just get better and better. rumble strips are very very dexys ('young soul rebels' period) and worth checking out. if you like that sort of thing.
  5. i'm thanked on two of their record sleeves. i win. :-P ;-)
  6. the current promoters at the 'marquee' are winding down their involvement there and going back to small gigs, and are promoting more and more now at a new(ish) venue in brixton. leicester square is rubbish.
  7. an ex member of speedway *vomits* and also an ex member of 'stamford amp', the in-house band on some kids saturday morning tv show i forget the name of (or IS IT JUST THE SAME PERSON?)
  8. i didn't realise people were interested in them in the first place let alone now.
  9. black nielson split up the day before they were due to play literally 5 minutes up the road from me. which was a bit annoying. paul truck now works for a charity who aim to provide advice (as well as badger them) to music venues which need more facilities for disabled people. koko in camden (formerly camden palace) is one of their main targets. love, adie's information service.
  10. blimey golly gosh. i had quite literally clicked on a goon show link on the bb7 website when i saw dave's avatar there. that's some spooky off-topic shit there.
  11. having said that, the shoreditch one probably doesn't do gigs normally either. the pa was - i believe - paper cuts' (ross symposium's 'new' band) own or hired. and one of the barmen/bouncers/staff didn't like fickle public being so loud. ho ho. the same fartknocker also short-changed me by a tenner at one point.
  12. you're thinking of the wrong spread eagle. this one is in shoreditch. the camden one doesn't do gigs...
  13. STEREOPHONICS?! the only similarity there is that both their singers are shortarses. i dunno. i've seen apartment a few times now so i suppose i know know the songs etc. i wasn't massively impressed first time i saw them (there's a live review on DiS from ages ago wot i dun). now i think they're grrrrrrrrrreat.
  14. No. It's against the laws of Indie Rock.
  15. Apartment are a London band on fierce panda. The little emo boys will hate them. Interpol fans probably won't.
  16. dive dive are lovely boys.
  17. art brut - 'modern art/my little brother' art brut - 'formed a band' bloc party - 'she's hearing voices' the rakes - '22 grand job' kaiser chiefs - 'oh my god'
  18. I didn't "just make it up". He's a friend... (I promoted five of their gigs last year) *clunk*
  19. And they're doing a hush hush secret DiS gig at London's 93 Ft East on Dec 9th. But not that secret really as one of the support bands has mentioned it on their website.
  20. "Aberdeen was lovely- best of the Scottish shows" So there u go.
  21. Dedalus got compared to Interpol (I think) and The Departure. The guy is a Hookers Green fan too. I don't think he knew the connection. Planet Sound stuff doesn't go on the web... it was going to, but then Teletext decided they were getting rid of their entire website to concentrate on getting everything on digital telly instead... I worked there for a couple of days recently. It was ace. I got to do some demo reviews and singles and albums and errrrrrrr a 'quirky' profile on Avril. And stuff.
  22. How was it? Hope it was better than the 10 people who turned up in Dungdee.
