  1. His 2nd Mariah Carey diss track. This is his third - - brilliant.I'd also urge anyone again to listen to My Darling, one of the bonus tracks on Relapse. Honestly think its the best thing he's ever done.
  2. Bout time as well. I've got the Dr.Ebbett's ones, and the difference is night and day between the original CDs.
  3. Gutted I never got to see him. If I ever made it to NYC his weekly slot would've been top of my list of things to do. R.I.P
  4. A 100% (or as close to)strike rate I'd rank more important than the amount of songs, and whilst I don't think The Stone Roses are the best band ever, there is a certainly a claim there. 2 great albums and a host of non-album singles/b-sides, plus innovations in sound and style, impact on culture, lasting influence and mass appeal yet still retains a 'cult' following for the die-hards - certainly ticks against all the criteria there. Suprised no-ones put forward The Smiths.
  5. A loose football anology to the argument I think Bigsby is trying to make, which people ignored straight off, would be that Manchester United are the 'best' football club in Britain. Taking into account all the things that most football clubs aspire to, such as trophies, stature, style of play, comercial might etc it is hard to argue that they are the Best in the land. You might absolutely detest Man Utd and everything they stand for, but in all the ways in which football clubs can possibly be judged (ignoring personal feelings) its hard to see passed them as being the best. Aberdeen may be your favourite but in general terms, could never be considered the best. You could however make an argument for Liverpool being the best club ever using the same criteria and that is where genuine debate could emerge. Bigsby even laid out criteria that a Universal Best Band ever were to be judged, and asked for alternatives (which could certainly be made, and then we'd have the basis of a good argument). But within a post the purpose was lost. For those that don't like The Beatles I guess it must not sit too well saying "They were the best band" but try and suggest others.
  6. I can never fully trust a person that doesn't share Bigsby's opinion.
  7. It's absolutely cracking. A very understated record compared to Blinking Lights. Can't get enough of Tremendous Dynamite!
  8. Alphabetical order works quite well.
  9. An absolute dickhead I used to work with spent time in the clink for stealing people's mail as a postie. Not tarnishing the postie profression at all here, as this guy was just an utterly exceptional dickhead.
  10. Aye, think this is a fake twitter. It's first entry is April and I'm sure thats around the time when Liam had his twitter and was bitching about Noel on it, and Noel didnae have a twitter then - just his tour blog thingy. And the twitter updates just seem shorter versions of that blog so seems to be some fan (possibly a Kashmir Red member ) setting one up. *edit* Although really want this to be true! And can't actually find anything definite to say its not his twitter so good going anyway.
  11. C'mon, Ronaldo is an utter legend. YouTube - Cristiano Ronaldo interviews himself *Funny* ||HD|| There's also a Sky Sports video where they have clips of dozens of footy fans opinion's on Ronaldo, with a disguised Christiano popping up in the middle in his best Manc accent "He's the best in the world mate". *found it* Glad to see there still top class footballers with a bit of personality, and the Premiership is a lot worse off without him.
  12. Deary me Newcastle! It really is sit-com worthy that.
  13. Got any pics? I'd happily take this. Need some Dons decoration for the new flat.
  14. Uri Gellar on BBC News just now... Talks about hypnotising MJ and asking him if he molested kids. Bizzare interview tbh.
  15. I don't fully understand how people who have enjoyed his music can make jokes, especially such shit ones. Heard about it upon finishing work tonight. Genuinely saddened me. I'm a bit gutted he never got the chance to redeem himself musically with the o2 gigs, as it would've been brilliant to see him pull it off. R.I.P Michael. For all your faults you made some of the greatest pop songs ever.
  16. Seaton Park is so beautiful when its sunny. The view you get from the top by the Cathedral is just stunning, as is the walk by the river side. Good shout on Victoria Park too. Just a pity both are marred by sexual seedyness at night.
  17. Always wondered if you were THE Mouse from afc-chat Mouse. I guess you are.
  18. Great band and well done on getting on Steve Lamacq tonight! I dare say I'll be tuning in to have a listen.
  19. No, I was saying that the stereotypical AECC go'ers will rarely check out other gigs in the city. But here, we have an example where they have gone to Moshulu and seen a great gig in a much better atmosphere for live music for a fraction of the price. The very fact that they heard about it and bought a ticket shows the promotion for this gig can't have been as utterly disasterous as is being made out in this thread by a couple of people. And, HOPEFULLY, their good experience will make them add Moshulu to their facebook/join this website/keep an ear out, in order to see what else is going on.
  20. Well its one thing for people to head out to AECC once every year, but another to head to Moshulu for a gig. Its obviously an entirely different experience than an arena gig and is a different mind-set to acknowledge any live music exists outside paying 36 to see a band in a soul-less barn. I know I started exploring the live scene more after my first 'mid-level' gig, whereas had little to no interest/knowledge when I had only experienced the big Aberdeen gigs.
  21. Without wanting to stir things any further, but there were plenty of my mates who have never been to gigs outwith the usual AECC stuff, who'd never set foot in Moshulu in their lives, that had known bout this for ages and had a whale of a time. So minus the mistake of not putting the listings on this site (that proved uncostly seeing as the gig sold out thus job done) I'd say its been successful promotion purely cos its got plenty of folk outwith the 'scene' to head along. Now fair enough Jamie T is pretty mainstream, but it might well have a knock on effect in encouraging more people to check out live music in Aberdeen. I'd also like to add that all my friends who keep a tab on gigs in the city knew about it. I certainly knew about it well in advance although can't for the life of me remember where I read about/seen it. I just don't see how a gig that sells out can be accused of having been badly promoted. Can't speak of other Moshulu gigs as I haven't seen the attendance, but I also can't recall missing anything I'd be interested in there.
  22. Happened to me in Morrison's to me just yesterday, but it was just a plukey kid laughing at me Why the fuck do they tie the bottom basket to the holder things?
  23. Chinky and Paki are loaded terms though, they come with a whole other meaning rather than just where a person comes from . Words change meaning over time, and when those terms have been used in a derogatory manner for 50+ years in the U.K (which you must surely be aware of) it becomes completely synonymous with being inferior to whites.
