  1. I've been keeping up with the serialised excerpts of his book, and jesus its just depressing. I think he comes across as quite a nice guy but he's had an insane amount of issues over the years. Just hope he's put them all behind him.
  2. For me special albums are albums that either turned my tastes upside down or just made me re-think all my opinions on music. Ergo: / - My Dad had made a Beatles tape with each of these on either side. It started off as a tape for car journeys but eventually migrated up to my room and I swear to god I must've worn it out the amount of times I played it. I could've been anything from the age of 5 to 12 I'm really not sure when I first heard this, but it was certainly the first pieces of music to ever hold my attention. - Remember renting this from the library after going in to look for Daisies of the Galaxy (on the strength of hearing Mr.E's Beautiful Blues (on the radio, in the car, on the way to Tesco with my mum)) but they only had this. The CD was scratched to fuck and only 3/4 of the songs played. But I'd still heard enough to be convinced I was onto something truly brilliant and if anything, this album has only grown in its special-ness.

    Weekend

Enjoying the prospect of having a true Weekend In for the first time in ages. DVD this evening, followed by Peep Show and South Park. Football tomorrow then a geeky night of computer gaming later :O
  5. Second this. When I was out of work this would drive me round the bend. Also, last thing you want when in work, is fellow employees telling you how much they "can't be assed today". Fair enough if you're having a particularly bad day for whatever reason, but these are the type of cunts who literally say it every day. Same type of people who engineer a sickie - putting on an exaggerated show of 'coming down with something' then lo and behold, next day they've phoned in sick. You're fooling no-one.
  6. Not really, you completely back-tracked on your initial post of Which leaves little room for exceptions you deem acceptable. Then when Jake called it Shite, you gave examples of the Bus strikes and the Royal Mail, which are two strikes regarded by almost everyone as needless. Your two posts were essentially contradictions, no need to get so uppity about people being unable to read when its you that is unable to get your point across.
  7. Well done, two examples of needless (in mine and your opinion) strikes, and you're writing off every single strike ever as 'counter-productive'. Jeez
  8. To be fair, there has only been 3 home games so far this season if I'm correct (Motherwell, St.Mirren) as I've barely used my season ticket due to a holiday. Must be a shit-load of home games coming up, as that seems weirdly low.
  9. I feel pretty lucky in that neither my 360 or PS3 has once showed any signs at all of malfunctioning despite almost daily plays (in the 2 years of having my 360 that is definitely a minor miracle it seems)
  10. Same. I picked up the Hazards of Love without knowing its 'concept' and was a bit bummed once I realised what it was... until I realised it bucked the trend of those pretensious as hell albums by actually being bloody brilliant.
  11. I feel the need to add his chanting to the Hull supporters at the end of the season as another reason to hate Phil Brown. "We Are Staying Up" - no thanks to you you prick.
  12. Holy shit, what a great photo
  13. I assume, and hope, you're joking.
  14. The celebrity Come Dine With Me with Christopher Biggins was hilarious!
  15. People stealing food/drink/cutlery at work is a pet hate of mine too. And people who don't clean up after themselves in a Staff Room. The last thing I want to do on my shitty 30 minute break is spend 5 minutes of it cleaning up your crumbs and rubbish.
  16. Do the same thing? Spectators 'do the same thing' regularly - every single match. The thing being winding up your opponents. You don't think he was getting dog's abuse throughout the game? If anything, his retalliation was far less in proportion to what he and any other controversial football will have to put up with during a game. If you were meaning a fan coming onto the pitch. Then for Adebayor to 'do the same thing' would be for him to go into the stands. Which would of course merited a huge ban and history has shown that players do get banned for those things. That's just how I see things and is only concerned with the slide in front of the Arsenal fans, not the kick to RvP's head.
  17. I'll take Gears of War 2 off your hands.
  18. I was at St.Machar's Cathredral which was ace. A church I've always been fascinated by, so it was good to have some additional information by the folk there. Some nifty wee stuff in the upper rooms. And got to ring a church bell Also seen the Old Town House, Masonic Lodge, St.Mary's Church and a wee nosey in the Quaker's building. Hopped on board the free bus a couple of times which was interesting in itself too!
  19. Agreed. But it isn't really wise admitting you were in a pub underage on this site, especially I'd presume at least 1 person involved in the running of Korova checks here regularly. Its happened before, I'm sure I remember Flash quite comically banned a few underagers after reading posts on here.
  20. Still seems the most likely tbh. Either that or his suggestion at the end. Unbelievable. I love watching his stuff. The David Blaine programme on after was pretty good as well, those two guys blow my mind.
  21. Fussy eaters. I really, really hate fussy eaters. The kind that can't find anything they fancy on a menu if it doesn't have burgers or pizza (margarita). Or people that bawk at coleslaw. How can anyone not like coleslaw?!? Boring fucks.
  22. I'm almost certain they are not allowed to force you to open it. I'm sure I've checked out that situation numerous times in preparation for boozy away days.
