  1. You might want to check out the Small Enclosed Area EP launch on Sunday 3rd October @ Drakes. The EP has got our "Prog" song on it, so methinks you might will enjoy
  2. brilliant band, but some of their lyrics wander dangerously to the cheese. nice melodies, but not that intelligent for lyrics
  3. They are a band who originated in Elgin, and now all live in Aberdeen. They were a 5 piece with a female singer, aiming to sound like somewhere between Earthtone9 and Kittie, but never really got as heavy as that. I co-founded them back in the day, before i joined SEA. They are now a four piece with a male singer. To be honest i still don't see any band in Aberdeen, that have as talented vocal harmonies as Film28. They still have good songs, check them out.
  4. Small Enclosed Area- Ep Launch gig @ Dr Drakes Sun 3rd October.
  5. I will not hear a bad word said about Tommy Dene, possibly the smoothest man in aberdeen, who has the pick of any lady he wants. If i grow up to be like him, i'll be a happy man.
  6. Small Enclosed Area Fickle Public St Giles Hall, Elgin (Next to Yeadons book shop on south street) 8pm-10pmish SAT 11th SEPT (THIS WEEKEND) Tickets 5 - but you get a copy of the new SEA ep for free, which is worth 4. Get there early, as we are making this a very intimate gig in a wee hall big enough to fit about 100 people at most. There's no stage, so it will be very 'in your face'! The Ep will not be available to buy in aberdeen for three weeks, so here's your chance to get an advance copy
  7. Still sniffling, but i'm a lot better-thank god!! Totally broke, and my 21st is this weekend. The sexy model in the photo's is actually my mum, the t-shirts arrived today in Elgin, but as i'm in the 'deen, i got my mum to take some digital photo's at her work so i could see what they look like.
  8. Available in Small, Medium, Large and X-Large. They only arrive yesterday, so at the moment they'll only be available at gigs (Next one Sept 10th @Lemon Tree w/RAAR, KOBI, + THE METHOD), prob for 6/7 Thanks for your time
  9. Yep, pretty hammered was i. Had to work a total of 12 hours the next day as well, which wasn't fun. At least my body scraped itself to the Caley game by Sunday, so all is not bad. Got some pretty funny photos developed from the Fri day/nite, now if i can only work out how to work a scanner..........
  10. What time do you want Small Enclosed Envelope down for soundcheck, we have a practice 5.30-6.30 at Cap Tom's, so can head down straight after that if its convenient. Do you need us to bring any gear, other than the usual drum bits and that?
  11. will do, this saturday in fact.
  12. Rage Against the Machine were kinda metal, so metal wins.
  13. i remember one of them sounded very Clutch-like. Which is a good thing, top top.
  14. Fingers crossed there's no delays!! We'll also have very professional laser printed t-shirts on sale as well if all goes to plan. They'll be available in black, and in red, both with white logos. available in S, M, L, XL, and prob priced at 6 or 7 We'll also hopefully have some new songs airing then, as we are putting the final finishing touches to 2 absolute stonkers, and have the essence of two more sorted. If you think the upcoming ep is good, just wait for these new songs!! which'll be on another new ep by the end of the year hopefully!!
  15. My old English teacher was in Arab Strap during their early beginnings. He's also had books published, the only one that springs to mind at the moment is "Boy Racers". His name is Alan Bisset Smilie from brilliant Glasgow act Julia Thirteen turned down the chance to play bass for Speedway (and a massive cheque). Clever Clever Boy
  16. I've been at their last couple of Glasgow gigs, always ace cause they love Glasgow nightlife, so get really hammered afterwards. Usually at the Garage, so you groupies out there have been warned
  17. Should you not be graduating today numpty?
  18. Sorry... I forgot i know nothing about music. Close-minded idiot
  19. bands i've seen out of those and recommend- T-Break Stage Saturday 2115 - 2145 : The Needles 1945 - 2015 : Weird Attractors 1645 - 1715 : Degrassi T-break Stage Sunday 1730 - 1800 : James Orr Complex (HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR MOGWAI/ARAB STRAP FANS) 1645 - 1630 : Allergo bands i've seen out of those and think are quite poo really- T-Break Stage Saturday 2200 - 2230 : Josephine 1515 - 1545 : The Casuals T-break Stage Sunday 2200 - 2230 : Poor Old Ben The other bands i haven't heard of or seen. There's quite a big hype for Kain at the moment, so you might want to check them out. Everyone make sure they visit the T-Break tent at some point, as you might find a band you've never heard of that blow you're mind. Like Biffy Clyro did to me in 98 or 99
  20. I recommend you stay at the Caledionian Backpackers. Central, 10 for a nite's stay, bar open till 4am, no curfew, and loads of pished foreign people to speak to. such an ace place!!
