  1. Cheers for having us! I am glad you didn't think we were shite. Jumping around more? Thats something we'll have to work on when we play more gigs...this was the 3rd gig with the new songs and I think we're getting better each time. If you ever need a band to play we'll be up for it. Also must say the tunnels is a cracking venue. Looks great inside and sounds good. Def. going to more gigs there.
  2. Close as in directly across the street...it'd be so handy.
  3. Drakes on Ship Row... ...ok maybe not. Probably Lava.
  4. I sold a ticket on here a few days ago. I don't know if its sold out. Phone the music hall and ask. I am tottally miffed about having to miss the gig.
  5. Steven looks bauld in that picture...Chris looks pretty mean though....rrr!
  6. Thats a really good suggestion David...I wonder why no one else has mentioned that... just j/king
  7. Depends on your budget...Mark said it would be 700-800 for 3days doing about 3 songs did he not? I am sure that the quality would be out standing. If you are happy with Toms stuff you could have the option of spending more time there if money permits? I guess it depends how well you want this recorded...
  8. It was a while back...then .co.uk....but they won't release it so I can't re-register. Some American band have .net...the gits! We will have a new site soon though.

I have been looking at the Rode NT1 as well. I am just trying to cover alot of bases with one mic <i.e. being cheap!>

    Pro Tools LE

For drum tracks I don't want to be limited to using loops/cutting up loops. I would like be able to program original drum beats so that I can recreate the drums in withinthesewalls songs. So the style of music would be live band sounds. I guess I could do this within the drum program if it allowed or by using midi i.e. keyboard? Whilst I've got everyones attention I have been considering getting a "good" microphone for recording. First thoughts were of an SM57. I'd be looking to recording amplified guitar/bass, acoustic guitar and perhaps vocals. It would appear that this has all those bases covered to a greater or lesser degree. Thoughts? Dynamic or condensors? Better options?
  12. I was was wondering if anyone could tell me if there is a way of deciding what programs load on start up. As soon as I open task manager there are a few programs running that I don't think need to be and I would like these to stop. Basically just trying to think of ways to improve performance a little. Cheers.
  13. Thats what I was going to say. Aberdeen has been getting some really great/big acts in for a while.
  14. I just recently aquired Pro Tools LE + MBox and I was wondering if anyone else on the forums is using Pro Tools. My purchases have only got as far as the software/hardware. I am going to be looking for programs for creating drum tracks (so any recomendations are welcome) and an external USB2.0 HD (again an recomendations welcome) If anyone does have Pro Tools LE, what is your set up? Do you have any "must have" pieces of equipment etc?
  15. Cheers. <8 chars you know the deal>
  16. ...<shakes head>...I didn't even realise the how funny that was.
  17. Craig always picks up Northsound at Capt Toms when using his Vox wah pedal...great thing is he can use the wah effect on the radio station...fun for a minute then just plain annoying.
  18. For my taste buds pleasure I would have Pulp Fiction. Alternativly white russian or a paralizer. If I am looking to induce some state of drunkeness...Jagermeister...10 shots of that last time I was out certainly produced the desired effect.
  19. Really...? <goes to check news> guess we have to wait another 5years for the next case to appear?
  20. I'll send you a pm about the tees tomorrow Ross.
  21. Surely you can't put MJ into a prison with sort of ordinary criminals? Where will he go?

Its def. the easiest option & a good choice I am sure. I was speaking to one of the guys in RnBs and he said playing one of the reissue heads with it was amazing. You should check out https://weberspeakerscom.secure.powweb.com/weber/atten.htm just for interests sake. Mind you since you've had Deadenstero <sp?> at The Moorings you might have seen Craig with the older model? It was he who orignally pointed me to the site. Acctually uses a real speaker motor and has features like switchable impedence...gets me jazzed! So whats the chances of the Ampeg? Then I'll be DYING to play The Moorings just for the equipment as well as the venue.
